Best 2015 Toyota Tacoma Trailer Hitch Ball Mounts

I like it. I have a few thousand miles on it by now pulling a 2015 MINI on a uhaul auto transport trailer with a 2020 Tacoma and I think it helps keep a smooth ride. I’ve pulled with it from Phoenix to Seattle and back, and recently from Phoenix to Lewes Delaware. Before my first trip with the hitch I got into a lengthy debate over whether or not I had wasted my money on the entire concept of this hitch or not. The first time I pulled an empty trailer with it, I thought maybe I had fallen for a slick pitch because it wasn’t all too different than any other trip with a trailer bouncing around behind me. I pulled the trailer around my neighborhood on streets that I knew for a few laps around the block, then switched hitches back to my old solid one and did the same route and there was indeed a difference with this hitch. It won’t make the bumps and tugs disappear but it will noticeably mute them. Along all of my tows there have been stretches of road where I have thought to myself I’m glad I have this hitch and wonder how much worse the ride would have been without it. The trailer I use has surge braking and there was a concern that the horizontal movement of the hitch could trigger the brake but I haven’t noticed that to be an issue. I recommend the product but if you don’t buy this hitch, use etrailer for whatever you do buy. THE BEST service, fast shipping, great communication, I appreciate this site so much. Fits our VW Touareg perfectly and allows us to tow a variety of things now. As can be seen in the pictures the hitch has a +5-inch gap between the bumper and the vertical adjustment pillar and the trailer itself is out further so there's enough room to get to the rear hatch and maneuver the vehicle/trailer.

Excellent product! With the three different ball sizes, this tri-ball mount gives you a lot of flexibility. Gone are the days of having several different ball mounts to fit different tongues. High quality construction makes this an excellent investment.

This item should solve the problem I have had with a stainless 3-way ball when I tried to reverse the position on the ball mount. The threads galled between the hex nut and hitch ball.

Love these. This is my third one. Wouldnt pull a trailer with anything else. Trannys are expensive.

Sooooo....you sent me a product that was somehow put together backwards and I cannot take them apart somehow the ballhitch is stuck on the male portion backwards and defies gravity and doesn’t need a pin to stay on(becaue thier is no where to put the pin in cause it’s backwards

We bought this to tow our 3,000 lbs. boat with our Subaru Ascent with a 5,000 lbs. towing capacity. With the OEM ball mount, we could really feel every jolt and jiggle from hard stops, going over bumps in the road, and trailering down dirt roads. However, the dual cushion ball has really improved our trailing experience. Once we get up to speed, we hardly notice we are towing our boat. It's also great because some of the lakes we visit are down dirt roads, and the cushion makes this a much more pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone towing a boat or larger trailer with a SUV as it maintains that comfortable ride and the jostling of the trailer is much less noticeable.

A year has passed with my Convert-A-Ball Dual-Cushioned, Adjustable Ball Mount and I have nothing but praise for this mount. Once you find the correct height to have a perfectly level trailer there's no need to adjust. The beauty lies in the cushioning! Towing a Yamaha AR190 (3200lb boat and trailer combo) is silent. Even over the bumpiest pavement the tow is smooth. There is no harsh slamming when braking or taking off from the boat ramp. I don't know why everyone isn't running one of these, I wouldn't run any other hitch mount PERIOD! If you're on the fence, get off and buy one, you will NOT regret it!

To be honest, I use it upside down. I needed a hitch with rise, but none were available at time of purchase, and yours, inverted, works perfectly! The welds are regularly checked and remain all secure. It's a good hitch.

Working in the sand and grass of my driveway my wife and I installed our new etrailer receiver hitch. Great fit and finish! Went right on as described in the online guide. Hitch required a spacer washer on top back bolt attachment point. Taped it on so it would not move while lifting in place and it stayed right there! Used a car jack to raise up and hold the hitch into the underside of the trunk tighten the bolts and reattached the tail pipe done. Now we can pull our Sunfish Sailboat any where the car will go.

Have not used and may not. May try returning and see how that works. After installing the DrawTite hitch I see the 2" drop on this insert will be too low. Shame on me for not thinking this through prior to ordering.

First, let me say that eTrailer is fast, easy, and well-priced. Just received this ball mount and tried it on my Tacoma pulling a Jayco Jay Feather 17C hybrid. Works like a charm. The only issue is that the bike tires MAY hit the dual propane tanks if I really jack knife, but I can probably strap the tires together to avoid it.

The product works as advertized. Note that you should look at the profile of the bumper above the receiver hitch to ensure that it will fit. It works fine on our Toyota Tacoma, but will not fit in our Volvo. It allows us to tow our Popup Camper and use a hitch mounted bicycle rack (North Shore). Price, customer service and delivery were excellent. A great company to deal with!

I needed a drop hitch because my Toyota Tacoma has a suspension lift. The biggest drop I could find locally was 8”. As usual etrailer.com has what I need. This 12” drop worked great to get my trailer to sit level.

Arrived today. Fast shipping, and thank you for that! Seems to be a quality ball mount. Just what I needed to get the ball lower to tow my trailer. With this, now the top of the ball is at 16" where it needs to be. Custom built receiver on my old moving box van. Just need to weld on safety chain slots and paint it. Can't drop the lift gate with the receiver in (its pinned on both sides), but hey....I can tow now.

This is really nice. Beveled edges so it slips into receiver hitch so sweet. Beautiful welds heavy weight mount for my weigh safe ball. I bought a 10,000 lbs hitch and I wanted a draw bar with the same type rating. Now the only thing limiting my trailer capacity is my truck's ability to tow, not the hitch, bar or ball.

I purchased a Ranch Hand rear bumper for my 2500HD but wanted to retain the use of a receiver hitch. The ball mount would need to extend 8" from the pin hole to even reach the edge of the bumper. This BM29 ball mount works out perfect. The welds look great and the finish is just fine. The only complaint I have is they gained a little length by moving the pin hole a little closer to the end shortening the insertion amount slightly. Not a big deal, it is just noticable next to the other mounts I have at the house.

Just what i needed to get my trailer back far enough so my trailer jack would not hit my tailgate on my 2016 Toyota Tacoma,,,,,and i also installed a Malone hitch tightener,,,,so now i have more room for the jack and everything is tight and quite,,,,,should have did this along time ago,,,,,both are great products,,,,fast shipping also......Thanks

The ball mount arrived undamaged and in a very timely manner. It is exactly as described and worked well for my application. I was very impressed with how fast this item arrived and the care given to the packaging. Other online sites have sent me similar items packaged so poorly that they frequently received damage. But etrailer staff were extremely diligent about how to package a heavy item, therefore no damage. Will certainly use etrailer again.
