Have not used and may not. May try returning and see how that works. After installing the DrawTite hitch I see the 2" drop on this insert will be too low. Shame on me for not thinking this through prior to ordering.

The product is good but a bit tideous and after installing it my bracket fell and it was a pain to get replace it support made me buy the replacement pieces and the bracket didnt come with just the bolts, and at the end they told i have i had to buy the whole unit because based on their system my truck didnt have issues with installement and the manufacturer didnt supply that bracket cause it special order so in general i dont recommend in my choice better to get it welded.

Working in the sand and grass of my driveway my wife and I installed our new etrailer receiver hitch. Great fit and finish! Went right on as described in the online guide. Hitch required a spacer washer on top back bolt attachment point. Taped it on so it would not move while lifting in place and it stayed right there! Used a car jack to raise up and hold the hitch into the underside of the trunk tighten the bolts and reattached the tail pipe done. Now we can pull our Sunfish Sailboat any where the car will go.

If you have a trailer with a short tongue, like I do, this Hidden Hitch Extra Long Ball Mount is a big help! I bought a 2021 Nissan Frontier, which has a taller tailgate than the Tacoma I previously used, and found that when the tailgate was down so I could see to back my trailer to load my boat, that I only had about 2 to 2-1/2 inches of clearance between the tailgate and the winch mounting post, and I would damage the tailgate and/or winch post when making a tight turn. I went online to find a longer hitch mount, and found this one. Not only does it solve the problem, but the longer hitch mount actually makes the trailer easier to back than a regular mount! The only negative I have to say is that the hole drilled in the long mount for the pin to go through to secure it to the hitch receiver was drilled offcenter, and as a result it is not flush in the receiver and tilts the longer hitch mount at a slight sideways angle. This results in the trailer hitch catching on the ball when I go to raise it, and you it takes the force of continuing to raise the trailer to get the hitch off the ball.

Needed to get more clearance between boat trailer and truck so I could still lower tailgate or make tight turns without worrying. Didn't want to give up towing capacity or tongue weight by using a hitch extension. This solved my problem and fit well in the Class 3 factory tow hitch that came with my 2013 Toyota Tacoma.

First, let me say that eTrailer is fast, easy, and well-priced. Just received this ball mount and tried it on my Tacoma pulling a Jayco Jay Feather 17C hybrid. Works like a charm. The only issue is that the bike tires MAY hit the dual propane tanks if I really jack knife, but I can probably strap the tires together to avoid it.

I ordered this item with standard ground delivery. 'etrailer' upgraded my order, and delivered in 3 days. The product looks high quality, but I was hoping for more clearance between the upper and lower receivers. It's difficult to attach the trailer when the bike rack is in place.

I needed a drop hitch because my Toyota Tacoma has a suspension lift. The biggest drop I could find locally was 8”. As usual etrailer.com has what I need. This 12” drop worked great to get my trailer to sit level.

Arrived today. Fast shipping, and thank you for that! Seems to be a quality ball mount. Just what I needed to get the ball lower to tow my trailer. With this, now the top of the ball is at 16" where it needs to be. Custom built receiver on my old moving box van. Just need to weld on safety chain slots and paint it. Can't drop the lift gate with the receiver in (its pinned on both sides), but hey....I can tow now.

I like it. I have a few thousand miles on it by now pulling a 2015 MINI on a uhaul auto transport trailer with a 2020 Tacoma and I think it helps keep a smooth ride. I’ve pulled with it from Phoenix to Seattle and back, and recently from Phoenix to Lewes Delaware. Before my first trip with the hitch I got into a lengthy debate over whether or not I had wasted my money on the entire concept of this hitch or not. The first time I pulled an empty trailer with it, I thought maybe I had fallen for a slick pitch because it wasn’t all too different than any other trip with a trailer bouncing around behind me. I pulled the trailer around my neighborhood on streets that I knew for a few laps around the block, then switched hitches back to my old solid one and did the same route and there was indeed a difference with this hitch. It won’t make the bumps and tugs disappear but it will noticeably mute them. Along all of my tows there have been stretches of road where I have thought to myself I’m glad I have this hitch and wonder how much worse the ride would have been without it. The trailer I use has surge braking and there was a concern that the horizontal movement of the hitch could trigger the brake but I haven’t noticed that to be an issue. I recommend the product but if you don’t buy this hitch, use etrailer for whatever you do buy. THE BEST service, fast shipping, great communication, I appreciate this site so much. Every internet shopping trip starts at etrailer, if they sell what I need I’ll buy it here. I want them to stay around for as long as possible, they remind me of what service and support from a business is supposed be and I’m happy to do what I can to keep them around. New class 4 ball hitch for my new Tacoma. Good fit. Seems indestructible.

This is a beast of a drawbar, solid forged steel & well finished. It's also very heavy and E-Trailer needed to ship 3 times because the first two broke out of the box they were packed in. (Someone in the USPS has a couple nice draw bars.) Fortunately the 3rd effort was much better packed in a reinforced box and was successfully delivered. E-Trailer customer service was exemplary in resolving the shipment issue & I will definitely shop with them again.

I'm going to be moving soon and I have a new truck. I bought a hitch kit and extendable rear view mirrors for towing. They were well packaged and delivered quicker than I expected. The ball mount arrived undamaged and in a very timely manner. It is exactly as described and worked well for my application. I was very impressed with how fast this item arrived and the care given to the packaging. Other online sites have sent me similar items packaged so poorly that they frequently received damage. But etrailer staff were extremely diligent about how to package a heavy item, therefore no damage. Will certainly use etrailer again.

Sooooo....you sent me a product that was somehow put together backwards and I cannot take them apart somehow the ballhitch is stuck on the male portion backwards and defies gravity and doesn’t need a pin to stay on(becaue thier is no where to put the pin in cause it’s backwards

Have done about 5k with this hitch, just once with a 4500lb camper but mostly with a 3000lb cargo trailer. The former in a highly raised position and the latter in the absolute bottom position. The hitch has worn very well and shows no signs of excess wear, save for the surface of the 2" ball, but it's not concerning. On a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a stock suspension, this seems to give the right balance of range of adjustment without dropping so low in the lower configuration as to scrape through dips, though it can still be done on very sharp dips with the hitch on the lowest setting. Overall, very pleased with it and love that it's lighter than steel and won't rust.

This is really nice. Beveled edges so it slips into receiver hitch so sweet. Beautiful welds heavy weight mount for my weigh safe ball. I bought a 10,000 lbs hitch and I wanted a draw bar with the same type rating. Now the only thing limiting my trailer capacity is my truck's ability to tow, not the hitch, bar or ball.

The 5” B&W has worked great for me. This year I’ve towed an 18 foot speed boat, a 21 foot family boat, and a travel trailer. Used 3 different heights on hitch to accommodate each trailer, including the larger ball for the travel trailer. When all done, I use the stow feature too. No more hitting shins on the hitch! Quality unit, very happy with its versatility and solid craftsmanship.

Nothing comes close to this trailer hitch mount! Well designed and needed especially if you tow different things. versatility and sleek appearance in stow mode. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is simply because sometimes the 3 rods you have to remove and reinsert sometimes get stuck and you have to bang it a bit to get one or more loosened so you can remove or reinsert. Maybe graphite spray?

seems to be well built, haven't used it yet. Thought I would be pulling a pontoon trailer, but it fell through and have never used the tow and stow ball mount.

Using this hitch on my Expedition and LandCruiser. A standard hitch caused my 12 ft utility trailer to not ride level when towed behind either truck. Since my trucks have different ride heights, the B&W hitch allows me to get the perfect drop for each truck. Trailer responds much better to road issues level as opposed to angled behind the truck. Additionally, its rating exceeds both of the trucks’ towing capabilities, so I have the hitch I need for the future as I have plans for a heavier trailer down the road. Quality and fitment of the hitch is excellent.

I purchased the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 3" Drop, 3-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black and am extremely happy with it. It was $100 cheaper than anywhere else I shopped. Was delivered quickly and was an easy install. I used it to haul a trailer full of wood that I cut up and it got the job done! It is very heavy duty and takes the place of multiple single hitches. It’s nice to have all the options in one.

I looked at so many options before deciding on the B&W hitch, but I have no regrets buying it. There is nothing that my car is suitable for towing that this thing can’t accommodate. I even use it on the front hitch of my mower to move trailers around the yard! Adjusts very easily and stows nicely (though on my Ford Edge it rides lower than I like when stowed).
