Hey everybody. Welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby. And today we're taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail 2 bike platform rack here on our 2015 Toyota RAV4. So this is gonna be an awesome way guys, if you're looking for a nice secure platform to go ahead clamp onto two or potentially three bikes later on. What's awesome about it We do have a front tire hold, so that makes it really nice and secure can allow us to carry our carbon frame bikes swimming bikes, step through bikes, kids bikes, with no problem, and still gonna be really nice for your big ol' mountain bikes as you're seeing here today.

Today on our 2015 Toyota RAV4, we're going to be test fitting the RockyMounts SplitRail 2-Bike Platform Rack, part number RKY1140. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look, and show off some of the features. The first feature I'd like to show off is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with the bike still attached. To do that, there is a handle underneath the front here. Pull forward on it, holding on to the bike rack as you do so, and letting it come down.



RockyMounts Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2015 Toyota Rav4 we're doing a test fit of the RockyMounts BrassKnuckles Roof Mounted Bike Rack. That part number is RKY1202. Now we already have our bike secured down. First going to show you how we do that, and then we'll go over some features of the rack itself. Here at the back tire we have a ratcheting strap, to release that I'm just going to push on the black button, lift up, and set that strap off to the other side. Up at the front we have another ratcheting strap.

Today on our 2015 Toyota Rav 4 we're going test fit of the Thule Gateway XT 2 bike rack part number th9006xt. See we already have our bike already on the rack show you a few features first. All right how the bike is held down we have three straps, two up top, strapped to the side is our anti sway strap. When we want to take it off take off the two off top, the one off the side next. If you want to load it you do the opposite way. We're going to leave the back on to show you a few features here.

Today on our 2015 Toyota Rav4, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Sprint roof mounted bike rack, part number TH528. It's going to be a fork mounted bike rack. We do already have our bike on the rack. We're going to show how we secure the bike to the rack itself and also how we secure the rack to the roof system. First thing I'll show you is the back tire here. We've got a strap holding that down with some cushion here to adjust for the thinner tires and bigger tires.

Today on our 2015 Toyota RAV4, we're doing a test fit of the Swagman XTC4 Platform-Style 4 Bike Rack, part number S64665. Now we already have our bike on the rack. We're going to show you how we strap down the bike and then also some features of the rack itself. Why don't we 00:00:22 take a look at the wheels We have straps holding down those wheels. To release those, we just pull down and lift up. We have different slots. These are adjustable, so you can have them on the loosest for bigger tires or on the tightest for smaller tires.



SportRack Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2015 Toyota Rav4, we're doing a test fit of the Sportrack Down Shift roof mounted fork mount bike rack, part number SR4623. Now, we do already have our bike on the rack. We're going to show you how we strap it down and also how we strap the rack itself to the crossbars. At the back here, we have a simple strap that's going to hold that wheel down to your bike rack. It's secure enough that it's just going to push it down and secure it there so you won't have to worry about your tire flying up. Then in the front here, we've got a skewer holding down those forks.



SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2015 Toyota RAV4, we're doing a test fit of the SportRack Ridge Hanging Style 5 Bike Rack, designed for 2 inch hitches. The part number for this is SR2405. The first thing we'll do is go over how the bike is strapped down. We've got 2 cradles and then 3 straps, 2 on the frame here and then one is your anti-sway strap in the back. It's going to keep a lot of the movement out of the bike so you won't damage your vehicle or your rack. To release those, we just pull down and lift up, and we save our anti-sway strap for last. Then we can just pull our bike off the rack and set it off to the side.



Softride Element Parallelogram Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2015 Toyota Rav4, we're doing a test fit of the Softride Element Parallelogram tilting bike rack, part number SR26248. Now, one of the key features we want to go over is the tilt-away feature because you can tilt it away with your bike on the rack. We're going to come down here and pull on this black T-pin and tilt that rack away. It will give us full access to that back hatch of your vehicle so you can get anything in or out that you may need and there's still enough room that you can stand between the rack and the vehicle itself. Close that up. Then to put it back in place, you just lift up on the rack.



Saris Thelma Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2015 Toyota RAV4, we have our Saris Thelma 3 Bike Platform Rack, Part Number SA4239B. On this particular model, we have two straps holding our wheels on, so to remove our bike I'll push in on this, pull our strap out and then repeat the same process over here. It's a good idea to hold onto your bike while you're doing this so that it doesn't fall over. When you want to push this down, you flip the lever forward and hold it down. I always put the straps back in so we don't lose or damage them. Now, let's get some measurements. This particular rack is going to add about 37" to the length of our vehicle. We have, at our lowest point, about 15" clearance down here.



Saris Freedom SuperClamp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2015 Toyota RAV4, we have our Saris Freedom SuperClamp 2 Bike Platform Rack, Part Number SA4025. We have our bike set up on it already. We've got two wheel hooks and one strap. To take it off, come down here to our strap, push in on the release, and pull out the strap. Come back up here. Now you want to hold onto the bike while you're doing this, but you can move your hooks up out of the way to release your bike. Put that out of the way and get some measurements. Now it is a good idea to always put your straps back away so they don't get damaged.

Today on our 2015 Toyota Rav4, we're doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack Mountain Trail Rooftop Bike Carrier, part number RBC035. Now, we do already have our bike on the carrier. We're going to show you how we strap everything down. The first thing we want to look at is our back wheel. Got just a regular strap there. Just push down the black lever and feed the strap through and just pull on it to tighten it down.



Pro Series Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2015 Toyota Rav-4, we're doing a test fit of the Pro Series Q-Slot Platform Style 4 bike rack. Now, this bike rack is also designed as a 2 bike rack and we'll go over some of those features a bit later. The first thing we're going to do is check out our bike and how it's strapped down to the rack. We've got our hook and loop straps back here. We just simply pull off and remove through the hoop down here, or the loop. Now, with our frame hook up top, that's just going to secure the bike down into those wheel cradles. To release those, we just turn the knob and then turn it the other way to secure it. Then, we can just lift our bike off and set it off to the side. Now, we just want to make sure that we reconnect our straps so we don't lose any of them.



Kuat TRIO Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2015 Toyota Rav4, we're doing a test fit of the Kuat Trio roof mounted bike rack, part number TR02. Now, we do already have our bike on the rack. Let me show you how we strap the bike to the rack and also how we strap the rack to the crossbars. Back here on the wheel, we've got just the strap here. Just push it in and pull out the strap. At the front, we've got the skewer, pull up on the silver lever and then on this side, that knob over here is going to tighten and loosen as you turn it.



Inno Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2015 Toyota Rav4, we're doing a test fit of the Inno Fork Lock Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number INXA391. Now, we already had everything strapped down. We're just going to show you have we strap down the bike and then also the carrier. The first thing I'll take a look at is our back wheel. We have a strap holding that wheel in and we want to make sure we have it between the spokes so we don't damage them. Then up here at the front, we got a locking cover and we have a skewer holding in the fork mounts.

Today on our 2015 Toyota RAV4 we're doing a test fit of the Inno Multi-Fork Lock roof-mounted bike rack, part number INA392. Now we do already have our bike strapped to the rack. We're going to show how we connect the bike down and then also how we strap the rack to the crossbars. If we take a look back here, we've got a wheel mount. You're going to have a nice strap holding that in and a cradle here that's going to secure that bike to the rack. Then up here at the front we've got a locking cover, an anti-theft bar here, and then we also have the skewer that's going to hold those forks in.



Inno Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2015 Toyota Rav4, we're doing a test fit of the Inno Tire Hold roof bike rack, part number INA389. Now, we've already got our bike on the rack. We're going to show you how we secure that to the rack and then also how we secure the rack to our crossbars. First thing we'll do is step up into our vehicle. We've got these great tire holds here that are going to secure that bike down to the rack and keep that firmly against the cradles that we have here in the back and in the front. Now, with our front cradles just a regular wheel hold here or wheel mount and then the back it's ratcheted down by this center piece here which is also locking so you can secure your bike to your rack without worrying about theft or tampering. We'll just unlock our cover and lift up.



Inno Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2015 Toyota RAV4 we're doing a test fit of the Inno Slim Fork roof-mounted bike rack, part number INA387. Now we do already have it on our crossbars. We're going to show you how we mount it to the crossbars and then also how we mount our bike up. Now taking a look at our back wheel here, instead of the usual strap that you'll see, we have a little sandwich here. Two separate pieces that are just going to clamp together and hold your back tire in place. Then up at the front we've got a skewer.

Today on our 2015 Toyota RAV4, we're doing a test fit of the Hollywood Racks Traveler 4 bike rack. That part number's HR8500. You see that we have a bike on our rack and hooked to our vehicle. Let's show you a few features here. The bike is held up by three straps. We have two on the top, one on the side which we call our anti-sway strap. When we're unloading this we'll just go backwards, taking off the ones on top first, then our anti-sway strap.
