Erickson Big Bed Load Extender Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're gonna be taking a look at the Erickson Big Bed Load Extender for two inch hitches, part number EM07600.We've all been in that situation whether we're going down to the hardware store to pick up some lumber, or some drywall, or going down to the lake with our kayak and canoe where we can't fit it into the bed of our truck. Well, that's where our Big Bed Extender is gonna allow us to carry those long loads and still have support and get it down the road safely. Now we do have a little bit of support from our tailgate, but past that we're really not gonna have anything. Our Big Bed Extender is gonna extend out about 30 and 1/4 inches past our tailgate. We're gonna have several integrated anchor points on each end, that way you can make sure our gear is gonna stay nice and secure. And we're gonna be able to support loads all the way up to four feet wide. Now, whenever carrying an extended load, you wanna check your local laws to make sure, but they do provide you with a red flag so we can attach it to whatever we're carrying so we can make sure that everybody knows that it's there. We're gonna have three different height settings that we can adjust right here by removing the bolt and sliding the mast up or down to get the height we need. And whenever we get to where we're going and we get unloaded, we can come to the mast here and we can fold the arms in.

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're gonna be takin' a look at the MaxxTow 30 x 50 wheelchair carrier, with 48-inch long ramp, part number MT70106. Our MaxxTow carrier's gonna make loading anything with wheels easier because of the ramp. Whether it be a lawn mower, snow blower, wheelchair, or even a scooter, it's gonna be a lot easier than picking it up and placing it in it.Now, whenever we do load up our gear, the floor's gonna have a nice, steel mesh on it, which is gonna make it easy to clean and not let grime build up on it. And then, along the edges, we're gonna have plenty of points to tie down to make sure our equipment is secure. Now, I would like to get a few measurements. Our ramp is gonna stick out past our truck, roughly right about 30".

Erickson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson Big Bed Junior Load Extender, part number EM07605. With short bed trucks becoming more and more common, it is becoming a problem to carry extended loads. That's where our Big Bed Junior's going to come in. It's going to allow us to carry elongated loads and safely support them so we can get down the road. Here we have a ladder but you can also carry drywall, wood, even a kayak or a canoe, anything that's going to extend past your bed where it needs that extra support. We are going to have some support from our tailgate with it folded down, but our Big Bed Extender Junior is going to extend past our tailgate right about 31 inches right here in the front. We're going to have a tie down anchor on each end to make sure we can secure our gear and get it down the road safely.

It's going to be twenty inches wide by sixty inches long. We'll start off by getting a few measurements.

Lets Go Aero Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to be doing a test fit of the Let's Go Aero Gear Cage. This is going to be your 32-inch wide by 48-inch long gear cage. It's going to have that nice steel construction with a 300-pound weight capacity. It also comes with that 2-inch shank that's going to connect to your 2-inch receivers only, as well as securing with that anti-rattle bolt that's going to come in handy. We'll start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement and that will be from the front of the gear cage to the back of the bumper, at about 7-1/2 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle with it installed is going to be about 41-1/2 inches, with a rear ground clearance of about 14-1/4 inches. Now the exhaust on this vehicle does exit down in a way on the passenger side, so you won't need to worry about carrying anything that's going to be heat sensitive on your gear cage as you can see here.

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Not that this cargo carrier will come with your anti-tilt device as you hitch pin and clip. Your anti-tilt is going to serve the purpose to alleviate a lot of the sway, rattle, wobble, and any kind of road vibration that you normally hear in the back. As you can see, the vehicle is moving rather than just the rack. It's not going to be a stand-alone item as long as you have that secure. Going through a few measurements starting off, we're going to start off with our closest distance first.

Darby Extend A Truck Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Crewcab, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Darby Extend-A-Truck hitch-mounted load extender. This is going to be part number DTA944. We can drop it down to meet up with the lower headache rack or up above to meet up with our roof rack that you see on there now, or it will collapse. This part, you'll collapse it down and then reverse it, and it will actually extend out on the outside so you can put down your tailgate and extend your load outwards if you want to keep it all in the bed of your truck. We'll go through how all of that works, but we wanted to show you how the ladder looks up on top and always make sure that you secure it down using your straps or ties or rope or whatever, what have you. You can get straps and all that on our website if you'd like at etrailer.com. Let's go ahead and get the straps off, and then, we'll break it down and show you how everything works.
