Roadmaster 6-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles with Separate Lighting
In ordering the parts I got a little confused as to exactly which kit I needed. My motorhome has combined brake/turn signal lights & the car ('03 Subaru Outback) has separate brake/turn/parking lights. Thought I needed the 6 diode kit (which I ordered) until I had all the parts here & read through the instructions for the umpteenth time (BEFORE cutting anything) & then realized what they were doing. Turns out all I needed was the 4 diode kit. Sounds like there won't be any problems returning the unneeded parts since they were never installed. Great service there! Took a lot apart in the back of the car because of the lack of space behind the tail light assemblies, but it all comes apart pretty easily. Also allowed me to route the wiring along side the stock harness. Have a bunch of 1/2" split loom here & used it. Thought I would have lots of wire left over, but I actually had to splice 2 cut offs to make a jumper long enough to get from 1 side of the car to the other. Glad the car wasn't any longer & I didn't have to make up 2 jumpers as with some of the kits! Hardest part was finding a hole in the firewall & getting the harness routed under the dash so as to not tangle with the pedals, etc. I just don't flex like I used to. Everything works fine although it was NOT a "5 minute job".
The diodes and wiring are good and worked well. But the 118158 converter produced a 3.5 volt drop such that the brake lights were as dim as the tail lights. And when a turn signal was triggered the brake lights dimmed even further. I ended up stringing a separate brake wire through the car and re-wiring my truck with a 5-wire connector.

Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit
This product is incomplete. 4 feet more wire and five wires instead of 4 wires. The 4 wires are at least 4 feet short requiring you to purchase more from a local hardware store. This kit also does not combine the brake and turn signal requiring an additional wire. DO NOT be fooled by this kit. If you have a supplemental brake They want you to buy another kit that is impossible to install on the brake switch under the dash. I just added two relays at each taillight to keep the motorhome brake power from mixing with the Explorer power. Very simple and everything is easy to access.
Makes towing the explorer a very simple task. 5 minutes to hook up and your ready to go.

Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 4-Pole Flat Connectors
Easier to install than expected. Working fine.
It does what it says on the tin. Easily lit up my XJ so I could tow it. Only regret is that by making the connections at the rear, you don’t get the front market lights on the toad. I should have connected the running lights diode in the harness under the dash so all the marker lights come on at night.

Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs
Always completely satisfied with Etrailer service and products! Jamie B is very knowledgable and courteous!
This was a good option for our 2020 Chevy Equinox because it does not tie into the tow vehicle electrical system and runs directly from the Motorhome electrical system.

Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit
This place is the best! Placed my order- easy peasy-delivered on time- Watched install video- again made it so easy and saved $1000 installation fee!!! Thanks for being a great company and special thanks to Carol C my order specialist !!!
I installed this myself along with a tow bar from another company at the same time, in about 4 hours. installation was straightforward and worked perfectly. saved about $800 in total labor.

Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - LED Bulb and Socket - Red
This kit did the job very well. I could have bought each part separately and saved some money, but I went with the comfort knowing all these parts will work together to accomplish the job. I couldn't figure what LED bulb to use for both brake and turn signal. I routed the wire along the truck wiring harness for half the way to the front, then slipped it into the frame channel for the rest of the way. I used a Curt heavy, round 4 pin plug at the front grill. It was a bit of work and took many hours but came out clean!
I installed this on our 2019 Equinox towed. Love the convenience of just plugging in the towed vehicle. The most difficult part was deciding on what part of the light housing to drill the hole for the light socket.

Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights
These lights have worked flawlessly for the whole 2023 camping season on my RV towed vehicle. I mount them on the rear of the roof so they are nice and high above bicycles on a hitch mounted rack.
They were shipped fast and arrived quickly. These are quality lights with very strong magnets. I installed them on my Jeep in no time after making some steel brackets for the tubular aluminum bumper. Would be nice to have 5 or 6 magnetic clips to place along the wire to secure it to the vehicle. I highly recommend these lights.

RoadMaster Bulb and Socket Set for Tail Light Wiring Kits
Bought this light kit to install in the un-used bottom position in or 2005 Honda CR-V. No need to tap into vehicle's wiring harness. Easy to install, works great! Highly recommend.
This bulb kit is just what I needed to add trailer lights to my 'toad' vehicle. The sockets felt like quality items, it was simple to install. I had my own wire, I think it turned out great.

Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Wire to 6-Wire Straight Cord
Quick delivery and product as described.
The install on my Ford Maverick is clean and functional, so this is more of a customer service review... excellent customer service! During the 4-day towing set-up install, the forecast was for freezing temps and my rig was not winterized. I called in mid panic and the motorhome was moved indoors. A few months after using the tow set-up, a minor problem developed. I called and the CSR apologized and said, I can see how that might be frustrating, and a replacement cable (slightly longer) was sent free of charge.

Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit
have successfully completed the installation of the following items that I purchased from etrailer: > Nighthawk RM-676 tow bar > RM-524458-5 base plate > DEMCO Stay in play DM86VR > RM-152 diode wiring kit > RM-156-25 charge wire kit > RM-88400 brake switch relay kit I work slow but methodically. I had no issues other than the high degree of difficulty for a 68 y/o man working alone. This project exceeds the abilities of someone NOT mechanically inclined. There is also the need for some specialty tools. I found that feeding the wiring through the dash, firewall, and underbody was more difficult than installing the front baseplate. Overall, I am satisfied with the function of this installation. I am glad I did it myself rather than having it done. Tow vehicle: 2021 Entegra Emblem 36U Towed vehicle: 2018 Ford Fusion Platinum Energi
Negative battery disconnect system started not working after less than a year Had to go to local Chevy Dealer to have the battery disconnect system disconnected as was causing whole electrical system to shut down at inadvertent times

Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass - 13" - 20-Amp Mini-Fuse
Ordering and shipping was fast and easy. Products arrived in good condition. I haven't installed them yet, but it all looks as advertised. Not my first order with etrailer and the customer service was outstanding as always. Why anyone would order from any place other then etrailer I cannot fathom.
Roadsters product worked well. I did not remove the lower dash part, and just did extreme yoga to remove and install the fuse bypass. This was the worst part. I can't believe that Honda put this fuse block in such a difficult to access location. The rest was simple. Installing the small connectors was a trick, (I also didn't use the fuse connector) but I finally got the connections in the fuse block. Drilled the hole from the outside and installed the switch. The location could have been lower and more to the left as there was a thicket portion of the dash on the back that prevented the lock nut from seating, but the switch is tight and works well. This is absolutely the way to go instead of pulling a fuse on my 2014 Honda CRV!

Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Wire Hybrid Cord
My E-trailer experience was outstanding! From the great selection guide to the delivery to the installation support. The installation videos were very helpful. I had two installation issues that were answered with a prompt phone call. One call was on a Saturday morning. I highly recommend E-trailer!
So far so good. Self installed on 2018 Ford F150. RV side was a breeze. Written instructions are weak. The truck side included economy wiring kit which required cutting tailight and brakelight wires in order to tap diods into lines. If doing it again, I would order the Hopkins custom wiring kit HM56009. It doesn't require cutting wires. It plugs into factory connections.

Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit w/ 7-Way to 6-Wire Connector - LED Bulb and Socket - Red
Installed in my 2024 Chevy Trax. I ran the wire harness up through the front fender, and along the DS rocker panel. No drilling into body required. However, I purchased extra loom to better protect exposed wires next to body. Additionally, I purchased extra wire to support the DS to PS taillight connections. Finally, be advised the plastic taillight assemply is "double hulled," so once you bore through the exterior of the assembly, you will need to drill again, into the lense. On this point, and to ensure a good fit of the bulb socket, a Dremel tool was used to grind down the plastic surface, to ensure a good flat and tight fit. Finally, I used the first cut-out to fashion a cap and to seal the light socket installation. See pic.
I am very happy with this kit. It gives you everything you need to setup an independent brake light system for you toad and therefore bypassing the vehicles internal wiring and computers. I went with this setup as I did not want to complicate my wiring or damage the internal systems of the toad. IT takes sometime to install, but once done hooking up and running the system is simple as plugging in your 7way connector. Combine this with a onboard braking system, and you have the perfect system to pull your two vehicle behind your RV.

Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit for Variable Voltage Incandescent Tail Lights
A very easy installation. The instructions and kit quality were very good. I installed this kit on a 2019 Chevy Spark that I tow behind an RV. The lights have never failed to work as expected. I would highly recommend this product.
