SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Chevrolet Traverse

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Traverse we are going to be doing a test fit of the SportRack Ridge 5. This is going to be your hanging style 5 bike rack. It does come with an 1-1/4" shank, as well as a 2" adapter. Just keep in mind with a Class 1 and 2 hitch and your 1-1/4 shank, that you will only be able to carry three (3) bikes maximum. This is going to be part number SR2405. We are going to see how it looks and fits on this Traverse that we have here today. Insert your shank into your receiver and line up your pin holes.

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Chevrolet Traverse

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Traverse we're going to be doing a test fit of the Swagman Trailhead 4. This is going to be your hanging-style 4-bike rack. It comes with an 1-1/4" shank and a 2" adapter. Just remember with your 1-1/4" shank class one and two hitches, that you will only be able to carry three bikes per the capacity, but you can carry all the bikes on this with your 2". It's going to be part number S63380. First step, we're going to insert our shank into our receiver and line up the holes. Once you have your pinholes lined up, go ahead and insert your anti-rattle bolt and thread it in as far as you can by hand.

Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Traverse

Speaker: Today on our 2014 Chevy Traverse we're going to be test-fitting the Yakima Frontloader roof-mounted bike rack, part number Y02103. We'll begin our test-fit by placing the rack on top of our vehicle. We'll go ahead and do that now. I'm going to go ahead and open the doors on the vehicle just so I'm able to stand in them have a little bit more reach. For the front bar, as you can see there's the hook here on the front which runs all the way across the front of it and then a single hook at the back. What we're going to do is we're going to position to where we're going to close down the knob here on the front and that's going to bring that back jaw down on the bar. As we tighten it down on there it's going to bring both the two clamps of the jaw, or jaws of the clamp, excuse me, together. Nice thing of this rack with it having the style of fastening mechanism, you're able to put it on several different types of bars. If you have this style bar on one vehicle and then another style on a different vehicle, you can transfer it from vehicle to vehicle. With that tightened down we'll go ahead and go to our back bar and secure it back there.

Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Traverse

Today on our 2014 Chevy Traverse, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima ForkLift roof-mounted Bike Rack part #Y02098. To begin our test-fit we're going to go ahead and place the rack on top of the vehicle. I'm going to open the doors here and that way I can stand in the doorway just for a little bit more height. So with our rack in position, the first thing that we're going to do is there's a T-bolt that goes in here. When it's in this position it will be stuck. If we place it in this position we can actually open this up.
