We'll begin the test fit by sliding the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll keep an eye through our pinhole there to see when our two holes line up. We'll then thread in our anti-rattle bolt.

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Suburban we're going to be test fitting the Pro Series Solo 31 by 47 cargo carrier. With a 400 pound weight capacity, its part number is PS1040100. To begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of our carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll slide it in far enough so the two pin holes will be lined up. In this position we have about 20 3/4 of an inch worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our vehicle is about an 1 3/4 away and overall we've added about 8 3/4 of an inch to the length of the Tahoe. Pulling the silver pin and clip at the base of the rack will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle into its loading position. In this position we have about 22 1/4 of an inch worth of ground clearance.

Overall we've added about 29" to the total length of our Tahoe. When opening the rear hatch it breaks over the plane of our carrier at about the 10" mark. The exhaust on the Tahoe exists the passenger side and it's turned downward.

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe we're going to be test-fitting the 23x56 ROLA Dart Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches. With a 450-pound weight capacity it's part number 59550. We'll then secure it using the provided clip. In this position we have about 22-1/4" worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the back of our vehicle is about 3-1/2" away and overall we've added about 22-3/4" to the length of the Tahoe.
