This forged ball mount was not machined flat around mounting hole. I had to grind a flat surface for proper fit.

This review does not just serve my recent order, but all of the orders before it. I have purchased a number of items from etrailer and everything was sent in a timely manor as stated and promised. I use these on 7 trucks that tow trailers 32,000 + miles per year. If you want to feel safe with a ball carrier that will stand the test this is the way to go. I have been using these for several years with no issues and will continue to purchase them. They are heavy but they are durable.

I do a lot of off road towing of a 5000LB camping trailer. All my past experiences resulted in bent hitches. This forged hitch solved my problem. Solid and no way am I going to bend this one. :-)

Fits our VW Touareg perfectly and allows us to tow a variety of things now. As can be seen in the pictures the hitch has a +5-inch gap between the bumper and the vertical adjustment pillar and the trailer itself is out further so there's enough room to get to the rear hatch and maneuver the vehicle/trailer.

I needed a hitch that I could haul my work trailer with and still drop the tailgate without dropping the trailer. I looked on etrailer and found one that would work barely but decided to call etrailer and see if anyone had any ideas. Steve answered and looked after I told him my requirements and came up with this. This has a longer distance from ball to pin by a few inches compared to the one I found so my tailgate will still drop even if I’m at an angle to my trailer or on a hill. Also with the adjustable height it’s great. Awesome hitch. Solid for a good price. ??
