Today on our 2012 Mazda 5 we're gonna be test fitting Yakima RidgeBack two-bike hanging-style rack for 1 1/4 inch and 2 inch hitches. This part number is Y02457.It's a great accessory for your vehicle, it's gonna allow you to haul up to two bikes, wherever you might be going on your trip or to the trails. You can see we have a bike installed, let's take a close look and show off some of the features.Now at the ends of the arms we are gonna have bottle openers on the ends. Yakima likes to put that on all their products. Right here we're gonna have this nice rubber TPE padding, and as you see these little notches that are coming up from the rubber, those are gonna act as shock absorbers for the frame of our bike. It's gonna just help protect it from any type of scratches or abrasions.We have three different points that, where the bike rack is securing our bike with just three Zipstrips, we have two on the top of our frame right here, forcing it down onto the cradle.



Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Mazda 5

Today, our next present on our 2012 Mazda 5, we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Rack's Tread Aligner 2 Bike Platform Rack, which is part number HR200Z. This is a great accessory to mount to your hitch so you can be able to carry up to two bikes wherever you want to go with them. We have a bike installed. Let's take a closer look and show you all of the features.Now, it's going to hold our bikes at three different points. We have a hook and loop set on the back wheel right here, which is the first one. And then, we have the same thing at the front which is the second one, the hook and loop straps to secure the wheel and to just hold it down into the wheel cradle.Now on top, we're going to have this padded frame hook.



RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2012 Mazda 5

Today on our 2012 Mazda5 we'll be testing the Rockymounts Tierod roof-mounted bike rack, part number RKY1014. With a Thule Aeroblade Podium roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front we'll bring our straps around our front bar and remove our black plastic cover. We can then fit our straps into the head of the carrier. We'll use an Allen key to tighten down the Allen bolt which will secure our straps around our front bar. Once we have those tight, we can replace our black plastic cover. Here at the rear we'll loosen up one of the Allen bolts of our clamp so we can bring out rear clamp around our rear bar.



Thule Big Mouth Roof Bike Rack Review - 2012 Mazda 5

Today on our 2012 Mazda 5, we'll be test fitting the Thule Big Mouth Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number TH599XTR. With the Thule Square Bar Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the Thule Big Mouth Bike Rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, we'll bring our clamps around our front bar fitting the T bolts through the appropriate slots and tightening them down by using the wing nuts on top. Once we have both sides tightened at the front, we can thenmove to the rear. Here at the rear, we'll bring the clamp around the rear bar, making sure that we have a bolt sitting on each side of our rear bar. We'll take the black metal plate, fit the bolts through it and secure it by tightening down the 2 wing nuts. Now we can go ahead and undo the 2 wheel straps and make sure our frame draws are open.



Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2012 Mazda 5

Today on our 2012 Mazda5 we'll be test fitting the Swagman Fork Down Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number S64710. With the Thule Arrow Blade Podium Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front platform, we'll bring our U-bolt around the underside of our load bar, fitting it back up through our front platform. We'll secure it by installing two wing nuts. We'll do this process for the other side as well. Here at the rear, we'll drop our U-bolt from the top of the bike rack, making sure the bolts go around each side of our rear load bar, and then we'll install our black, metal bracket.



RockyMounts TieRod Stretch Roof Bike Rack Review - 2012 Mazda 5

Today on our 2012 Mazda5, we'll be test fitting the RockyMounts Tie Rod Stretch Ridge Mounted Bike Rack, part number RKY1011. Please keep in mind that due to the length of this bike rack, that it may interfere with your rear antenna. With the Thule Arrow Blade Podium Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, we'll bring our straps around our front bar and remove our black plastic cover. We'll fit the straps into the head of the carrier and use an Allen key to tighten the Allen bolt, which will tighten our straps around our front bar. Then we can replace our black plastic cover.
