etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 3.5K
Very easy to install. Just watch the video. I have it on my 18' enclosed car hauler. Pulling it with an 06 tundra DC. It took all of the sag and sway away. 100% recommended
Good product, easy to install, hopefully they'll last a long time.

Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes - 10" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 3.5K
I placed my very first etrailer order on July 5th for the following items - Dexter Trailer Brake Kit (Code 23-468-469), Easy Grease Trailer Hubs x2 (Code AKHD-545-35-EZ-K) and Redarc Tow-Pro Elite (Code RED63RR). The shipment was received on July 7th but was missing right hand (RH) brake assembly that is part of the Dexter Trailer Brake Kit. The one brake assembly I received, and the Tow-Pro Elite were packed in an e-trailer box. The 2 Hubs were shipped in their product box only. E-trailer provides a nice log of the actions taking place on the order. My order went through 3 individuals (processed by, gathered by, packed by) who ALL missed my order being complete. One of the hubs had broken through the box and was taped back together. At the time, I could not tell if this happened in shipping or not. I found out later that this box had indeed been shipped this way. When I broke the box down to recycle, I noticed white writing on the inside of the box that wrapped up the sided (around the hole that was taped in the box). So, either the manufacturer or e-trailer shipped the box in this fashion. Pictures are attached to show this. I contacted e-trailer support via phone when I arrived home on July 7th and found the items. It was not an issue to get a RH brake assembly on its way to me. The e-trailer rep was not overall concerned with getting me a replacement for the hub. They stated something along the lines of "These are heavy and built to take a beating, let me know if there is an actual problem with it." I received shipping confirmation on July 7th that the RH assembly had been shipped. It wasn't until 7/13 that the RH assembly arrived. I received the first request for a review on July 7th about my order and experience to which I replied on July 10th. I had let them know I had some issues and was waiting for the rest of my missing order to arrive. I also mentioned that both the RH (Code 23-469) and LH (Code 23-468) assemblies that make up my kit were about ~$60 cheaper than buying the kit. Seeing as I received the individual items anyway and not the kit (pics of the e-trailer item sticker to show this) I asked if they could adjust the price for me (both of which are still cheaper today, July 19th). I received an initial response of "I'm sorry, but we would be unable to price match as we are unable to confirm the price of the items when the order was placed." and second response of "I'm sorry, but our prices can change every day due to are algorithm. We are unable to price match after an order has shipped as a result.". I cannot recommend etrailer and this will likely be not only my first, but last purchase with them as well. I thought I was choosing a reputable company but would have been better purchasing my products from Amazon where they are cheaper. Not even pricing matching your own products is another thing (due to their error of sending individual items). The thought of shipping out an already potentially damaged product and a shipping container that is compromised is appalling too. Is it so much trouble to ship the products in an actual shipping box rather than a product box that is not rated for shipment?

etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes - 10" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs
PRODUCT FIT WELL AND APPEARS TO BE GOOD QUALITY PACKAGING WAS KIND OF SKIMPY AND ONE OF THE UNITS CAME APART BUT NOTHING CAME OUT OF THE BOX. FILLING THE ORDER TOOK QUITE A LONG TIME BUT UPS SHIPPING SEEMED TIMELY
Brakes were very poorly packaged and protected. One was damaged and I had to disassemble and reassemble. I read other reviews with the same complaints and was hoping it didn't happen to me but it did. A little bit of paper in the box doesn't keep it from getting damaged. Seems like the problem could simply be fixed so it doesn't happen to others.Oh well.

etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 5,200 lbs to 7,000 lbs
I ordered these to replace the original brakes on my trailer after I started having problems with mine (see details below if interested). They are good quality and were easy to mount and assemble. They definitely made a difference in how well my trailer is braking. I definitely recommend these if they are what you need. However, I will say that the shipping was delayed by about 4 days. This may not be etrailer's fault, but they use UPS and I've been having horrible luck with UPS's shipping service lately. Everything has been delayed. So just be aware that if you order with the standard ground with UPS these will most likely not arrive on time. The second problem that I had was that I ordered a set of drum/hub combos to go with these on a separate order. After 2 days of seeing no progress on my order I had to email and call to find out that the order was delayed. There was no update from etrailer without me asking. I ended up having to cancel that order and purchase through a local supplier whom I will likely start using from now on. To detail the braking problems, I purchased my 2008 Toy Hauler about two months ago. We've towed about 1,200 miles with it so far and I noticed from day one that the brakes weren't as responsive as they should be. As we were entering our neighborhood from our last trip my Tekonsha Prodigy 3 started flashing red and reading that there was a shortage and that I had a brake overload and that there were no brakes. This was fairly spiritic but eventually became constant. Based off of information I found from posts on this site, it seemed like it might be one of the magnets not making sufficient contact with the drum. It seems like this was the case. During my repair, I found that one of my grease seals had blown and grease had gotten into one of the brake assemblies and it looked like that entire hub/assembly/etc. had stopped working properly. After replacing the entire brake assembly, drum/hub, bearings and seals on all four wheels everything is working great! I probably only needed to replace the brake assemblies, but decided that for another $350 I would have peace of mind knowing that everything is at it's best! Thanks etrailer for the helpful information and quality parts!
I order 2 sets of these brakes and received 4 left sides and no right sides

Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 6K
Installed these about 4 months ago, upgrading from 4-year old non-adjustable brake assemblies. Perfect fit on my Coachmen 336tsik. Installation of each assembly was easy: remove 5 bolts, cut 2 wires for the magnegtic actuator to remove the old assembly, then place the new assembly on and tighten 5 bolts to 50 ft-lbs. Then solder the wires together. I used heat-shrink tubing to insulate the connection. I replaced the 4 brake assemblies at the same time as I did my annual bearing repack, since the RV was already jacked up and I had the wheels off.
Have put 10k miles on them in just over a year and the brakes have performed very well.

Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand - 6K AL-KO/Hayes Axles
Well made heavy duty brakes but need to include new nuts, bolts, and lock washers
Brake assembly arrived quickly and was exactly as describe. It was easy to install and with Lauren's help with mounting dimensions it bolted to my 48 year old trailer perfect

Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 7K
Everything fit properly and installation went smoothly. All needed parts were included, which was nice. The self-adjust worked well and break-in was quick. I've only put about 1500 miles on the trailer since install, so I can't speak to longevity. I'd buy them again though.
Quality is top notch. Instructions were clear and installation went without a hitch. Delivery was actually a day early which was great.

Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 12" Rotor - 6 on 5-1/2 - Dacromet and Stainless Steel - 6,000 lbs
Etrailer had the brake kits i wanted when i couldn't find them anywhere else. Easy ordering and super fast shipping, I ordered on 7/28 and received them on 7/31. The parts fit perfectly.
Ways simpler then drum brakes, installation was quick

Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Stainless Steel - 3,500 lbs
I know they were costly because I went the extra step and also installed stainless hubs and lugnuts but going with Kodiak stainless breakes was they way to go. They look and perform amazingly.
These brakes are excellent! And so is the service/technical support provided by George J of etrailer and others. This was the first time I ever replaced trailer brakes and I also bled the brake system for the first time. Everything went very smooth. I live in Florida and all of use of the trailer is in salt water. The brakes have held up very well.

Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 12" Rotor - 6 on 5-1/2 - Stainless Steel - 5,200 lbs to 6,000 lbs
Perfect fit and great price! Service from Etrailer was great, they even processed a price match for me a few weeks after delivery of my order. The service has been fantastic and I’m very pleased with the quality of these Kodiak Stainless Steel Brakes, Rotors and Hubs for my boat trailer after removing old leaf springs and upgrading to torsion axels. I’m also eliminating the surge brake actuator and going to electric over hydraulic for better performance and braking power and replacing all brake lines with Kodiak brake lines. I’ve included some before and after pics of the install for reference.
If you want trouble free brakes in a marine environment this is the only way to go. I have them on another trailer of mine for 10 years and no issues. Quinn was great to work with doing a sanity check on my selection to make sure I was ordering the right parts. Half of the order got missing within the UPS system, not etrailer's fault but several people worked well with me to get me a replacement set of parts. Was able to get concerned and knowledgeable help on the phone quicky in the several call I made. Amazing, they all speak English!!! Everyone can be great to deal with when there are no hiccups. The real test is to see how people deal with adversity and etrailer was great.

Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes - 10" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 3.5K
Installing these turned out to be a battle, in part due to user error working with solderless connectors. Once I abandoned these in favor of old-fashioned wirenuts, my problems mostly went away. However, I have one big concern about the quality of this product: while troubleshooting my electrical difficulties, I discovered that with 3 out of 4 brakes(!), a hard plastic (or some sort of non-metalic metal) shard had broken loose and was rattling around inside the brake drum. They appear to have split off the back of the magnet. Obviously I'm concerned that had I not pulled the drums off and discovered this, they could have interfered with the operation of the brakes and/or caused damage. Although etrailer has provided stellar service, Dexter should be made aware of this problem.

etrailer Rust-Resistant Electric Trailer Brakes - Dacromet - 12" - Left/Right Hand - 5.2K to 7K
I needed to upgrade my boat trailer from free-wheeling spindles to electric brakes because my new tow vehicle has a 5,000 pound tow rating only if the trailer has brakes. The brakes will be immersed only in fresh water but I chose the brake kit with Dacromet coating just to assure maximum protection from rust and corrosion. After removing the original spindles and cleaning the old grease from the axle I installed the new brake assemblies. They fit perfectly and seem to be of solid construction. Without the self adjusting mechanism it keeps these brakes assemblies very simple and making a manual adjustment periodically is no problem. I am pleased with the quality of this product.
Have had the brakes installed on my trailer for a year and so far all systens are a go, and when I say go, it’s all about stopping. I use my trailer and it is exposed to extreme salt conditions. Every few years the brakes and shoes are replaced for safety.

etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes - 7" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 2,000 lbs
Great kit, upgrading my trailer from the surge brakes that came with the trailer to electric. One note about these that's mentioned in the comments and the video it does not come with nuts and washers to install on your trailer (mistake in my opinion) but for me not a big deal. Just go get enough washers and nuts for your install. 7/16 FINE thread. Easy install, have not used them yet, still overhauling trailer.
MAGNET CLIPS JUNK order arrived packing suxs springs and clips loose within the wrapping paper one brake adjuster was not attached and was loose floating around within the assy. throw away the magnet clips order the clips for the 10" ,dosent come with nuts to attach order 7/16-20 stainless steel nuts not a common thread size.

Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 6,000 lbs
Fit perfect work outstanding! I bought these assemblies because they are Made in the USA. Only way to go.
They're genuine Dexter, they do what they are supposed to do. I was disappointed in etrailer for taking so long to get them. I use etrailer as my Dexter vendor, if they can't do any better I will be shopping elsewhere. If I wanted knock-off brand I would shop Amazon.

etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes w/ Dust Shields - Self-Adjusting - 12-1/4" - Left/Right - 10K
The backing plates came in a big box with no packing. Therefore they were beaten up and the adjusters and springs were knocked off. Also I only received 2 of the 4 drums that were ordered.
Sheila was the best! She knows her stuff and got me all the right part numbers and items for a 10,000# double axle brake rebuild. Brakes, bearings, races, seals etc. Shipping was quick and the couple B/O items shipped a few days later as she indicated. Now all I have to do it is put it all back together.

Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 12" Rotor - 6 on 5-1/2 - Dacromet - 5,200 lbs to 6,000 lbs
I used this kit to add surge brakes to my 5200#-axle boat trailer. I bought it a couple months ago and it did not have brakes but really should have. The parts are well made and installed easily once I acquired the bolts I needed that weren't included. The description and pictures are not 100% clear that the mounting bolts to put the brackets on the trailer brake flange are not included. I'm not sure why they don't come with the kit but I ended up getting some 1.25" x 3/8" SS bolts to mount them. While the hat-style rotors are nice from a price and ease of replacement perspective, if your lug bolts don't have extra length, you would be better off getting the integral hub and rotor version. Finding longer lug studs for my 20 year old trailer and removing the old ones was a PITA. Had I known, I would have spent the extra $ for the integrated hub/rotor set. The calipers have bleeding screws on both top and bottom so they can be mounted on either side of the trailer. That's a nice feature as its one less thing to go wrong. Once installed with new actuator coupler and brake lines, the brakes made a huge difference in towing the boat. The boat alone is 3000# and the trailer and gear probably add another 750 or so. It used to push my Yukon XL around when braking but now it tows smooth and easy. etrailers was awesome to work with. Good communication via email and simple fast ordering and shipping. I will definitely use them for future trailers get needs.
Excellent experience all the way around! Fast shipping. Simple installation. Great instructions and videos. Reasonable prices. The best part though is the customer service. I ended up speaking to William B a couple times and he guided me thought ordering exactly the right thing. He had me confirm various measurements on my trailer to ensure I had the correct parts. Actually he helped me discover that the parts I was removing were incorrect so if we had of replaced like for like I would have had problems. Getting this right up front made the installation and final quality what it should be. Thank you eTrailer and thank you William!

Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 7,000 lbs
I am a big believer is sticking with original equipment parts when possible. Locally here in Canada the parts thatbI purchased frome etrailer were much more expensive. It took much longer than expected for the parts to arrive, but the quality, fit and finish was excellent. Following the burnishing in procedure the brakes functioned excellent. My trailer is a 7 Ton dump trailer with an empty weight of around 5000lbs. My gain was set @ 2 empty with excellent results is slowing the truck and trailer. I haven't pulled a full load yet, but I expect to have full confidence in the brakes ability stop the trailer safety in annorderly manner.
Or Dexter brake order was delivered faster than expected. Brake system bolted up and has been working flawlessly for the last year. I will order again for our other trailers when needed.

Dexter Hydraulic Trailer Brake Kit - Uni-Servo - 7" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 2.5K
The brakes were installed professionally. However, the trailer has not been towed but for a few miles since then. There is no reason to believe that the repair was not successful. Due to little use, the original brakes were locked up and rusty.
Received brake kits fast. Packaged very well and delivered by UPS. Excellent…
