Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2008 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2008 Subaru Outback wagon we're going to do a test fit of the Thule Hitching Post Pro. This is a tilting and folding 4-bike rack. They've designed it so we can use it 1-1/4" or 2" hitches. The part number on it is TH934XTR. To begin our test we'll slide the shank of our rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. Need to slide it in far enough to line up our threaded hole with our hitch pinhole. With those in line we'll take our provided anti-rattle bolt; we're going to slide that in and then go ahead and start threading it.



Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2008 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2008 Subaru Outback we're going to do a test fit on the Yakima Full Tilt. This is a folding and tilting 4 bike rack. They designed it for use with 1 1/4 or 2 inch hitches. The part number on it is Y02462. They also make this in a 5 bike configuration if you prefer it that way. That part number is Y02463. To begin our test fit we slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this we want to slide it in far enough so that our small silver pin appears in our hitch pin hole.



Swagman Titan Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2008 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2008 Subaru Outback Wagon were going to do a test fit on the Swagman Titan. This is a folding and tilting 4 bike rack. They've designed it for use with 1-1/4 and or 2 hitches, part number on it is S63410. To begin our test fit on the Titan were going to slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do, well line up our threaded hole with our hitch pinhole. With those in line were going to take our provided anti-rattle bolt, begin to thread that in. With it just hand tight you can see that there's some movement and some play in our kit, so were going to use our socket and tighten it down.



Softride Dura Parallelogram Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2008 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2008 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Softride Dura Parallelogram. This is a tilting style 4-bike rack. It's been designed for use with inch and a quarter or a two inch hitches. The part number on it is SR26247. As you can see with this rack design, we've got two threaded holes here on the passenger side. Just so as for reference as I'm taking measurements, I'm going to be installing the bolt in the first hole. To begin our test fit, we're going to slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of our hitch here.



Saris Bike Porter Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2008 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2008 Subaru Outback Wagon we're going to do a test fit on the Saris Bike Porter. This is a folding and tilting four bike rack. They've designed it so you can use it with inch and a quarter or two inch hitches. The part number on it is SA404B. You can also get this in a two bike configuration. That part number is SA402B.



Saris Axis Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2008 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2008 Subaru Outback we're going to do a test fit on the Saris Axis. This is a folding and tilting 2-bike-style rack. It's been designed so we can use it with either 1-1/4" or 2" hitches. The part number on it is SA832B. Now we can also get this in a 3-bike version, part number SA833, on in a four bike version, part number SA834. Now to begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of the hitch. We need to slide it in far enough to line up our pinhole with our hitch pinhole.



Kuat NV Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2008 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2008 Subaru Outback we're going to do a test fit on the Kuat NV. Now this is a 4-bike platform-style rack. They've designed it for use with 2" hitches. The part number on it is N105-107 in the black and chrome that you see here. If you prefer, we do have it in a gun metal gray an orange also; that part number is N101-103. Now to begin our test fit we slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this we'll line up our pinhole with our hitch pinhole.



Yakima Holdup Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2008 Subaru Outback

Today on our 2008 Subaru Outback, well be test fitting the Yakima Holdup 2 Hitch Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02433. This bike rack is specifically designed for use with 2-inch hitches. With our bike rack already pre-assembled, were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well start by inserting the shank into the hitch. Well line up the hitch pinhole and insert our anti-rattle bolt. With our anti-rattle bolt in, well go ahead and tighten it down using a wrench and then well install the safety pin.



Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2008 Subaru Outback

Today on our 2008 Subaru Outback, well be test fitting the Yakima Front Loader Wheel Mount Bike Carrier, part number Y02103. With our Subaru already equipped with the factory crossbars and our bike rack already pre-assembled, were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well simply set the bike rack on top of the crossbars. Well clamp the front head into place using the wing nut on the front of the bike rack. Well also make sure that the rear clamp is in place and secure it down to the rear crossbar. With the front clamp tightened around the front crossbar and the rear clamp tightened around the rear crossbar, our bike rack is now secured to the vehicle and were ready to load our bike.



Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2008 Subaru Outback

Today in our 2008 Subaru Outback we're going to be test fitting the Thule Doubletrack Platform-Style Bike Carrier, product number TH990XT. One quick note about this bike rack, it will fit both 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches class 1 through 3 compatible. With our bike rack preassembled and set up for the 2-inch hitch we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. And we'll begin by inserting the bike rack shank into the hitch. We'll line up the hitch pin hole and insert our anti-rattle bolt installed we'll go ahead and tighten it down using a wrench and with the anti-rattle bolt tight our bike rack is secured to the vehicle and we're ready to begin loading it up. At this point, we're going to give you a few measurements.
