Thule Helium Aero Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2007 Dodge Charger

Today, on our 2007 Dodge Charger, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Helium Aero 2 Bike Rack for 1-1/2 and 2-inch hitches, part number TH9029. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch on our vehicle. You'll notice the self-locking hitch pin. We'll pull the hitch pin away, line the shank up and slide it in until the hitch pin engages. You'll then want to tighten down the anti-rattle vice. This is going to help take the extra play out of shank of the rack, which helps eliminate movement overall as you're going down the road. With that tightened, we'll get a couple of measurements. The closest point of the rack to the vehicle is at the back of the lever here, and it measures about 3-1/2 inches.

Thule Raceway Trunk Bike Rack Review - 2007 Dodge Charger

Today, on a 2007 Dodge Charger we'll be test-fitting the Thule Race Way 2-Bike Carrier Trunk Mount, part number TH9001. Before we begin our test-fit, we're first going to check the Thule fit guide or the included instructions to determine what number our fit dial should be at. We'll set out fit dial to seven, set the carrier unto the vehicle. We'll put the top hooks to the top part of the trunk, the bottom hook to the bottom part of the trunk, and we'll use the knobs on the left and right side of the carrier to tighten down and secure it to the vehicle. Once the carrier secured to the vehicle, we're ready to load our bike. We'll lift up the grey handle, swing the cradle arms out, push the handle back down to secure the cradle arms in position, and undo the cradle straps. We'll set the bike into the frame cradles and secure with the straps.
