Hidden Hitch Ball Mount - 3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 15-3/4" Long - 6,000 lbs
This is perfect for vehicles with a rear mounted spare tire. I am using it for my 05 Jeep Liberty, to clear the spare tire before I had remove the spare tire and either leave it home, or put it in the limited spaced cargo area. Now I can leave the spare in its place. I do not recommend leaving the ball mount in the receiver, for the following reasons 1. theft 2 it hurts really bad when you smack a knee or your shin on it unloading or loading cargo. 3. leaving it out in the weather unnecessarily and in salty areas like near the beach, or in the rust belt will cause the mount and your ball to rust. 4. Jeep owners manual advises not to leave the ball mount in the receive unused.

With good information from the website it was easy to order a Curt 2" Trailer Hitch, the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit w/ 4-Pole Connector and Circuit Tester - 119178KIT, Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches (3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 10-1/4" Long - 7,500 lbs - D-4), Curt Pin and Clip Hitch Receiver - C21500, Rubber Tube Cover for 2" Trailer Hitch Receivers - I-728,Review, and 2" hitch ball 40038. Parts were delivered earlier than the initial estimate. Self installation (on a sloped drive way) took just under 2 hour. The fit of parts was very good, instructions and on-line video's were very helpful. My Kia did not have the wire plug in option, but the splice connections in the wire kit were easy to install. Most of the parts are hidden from view when the ball mount is not used.
I have a custom made tow guard. The ball mount I have was too short to allow me to attach the tow guard to my new truck. I searched the web and found just what I needed at etrailer.com. I am using the hitch for a car dolly and a bike rack. The fit is a little loose for the bike rackmI'll see it really works when get on the road.
Quality is excellent. However, it did not work so I am not sure what to do with it. I thought I could use the top hitch for a Bike rack and pull a utility trailer with other toys. The trailer is too close to make a turn so good try but not able to use it. Thank you for asking. I did not open the box for a while because I was having the trailer worked on so assumed I waited too long to return.

I cannot use this ball mount because the shaft is too short that goes into hitch receiver on my one ton Dodge truck. It does not allow enough room between truck back bumper and ball to allow any trailer tongue to be put on ball.
The ball mount was a complete failure even after a lengthy discussion on the phone. I wanted a ball mount that would accept the rocker ball and anti-sway bar. The bar sent to me can't be used this way. An email and phone message to the sales person I ordered with, got no response.

Curt Multi-Ball Adjustable Ball Mount for 2" Trailer Hitches
Picked up my teardrop in ABQ on 2/17/23, and the Curt ball mount lined up perfectly with no drop/rise, and the extra length gave clearance for my rear door mounted spare tire. This mount is a beast, and the "overbuilt" nature of it gave me confidence that my Bronco would tow the teardrop easily. I also got the Curt Echo wireless brake controller, which synced easily to my phone and was easy to install, set up, and use. Overall a great towing experience, thanks to etrailer and Curt!
Very versatile - can use it on both my vehicles that have very different hitch height. Clean welds, super solid. Weighs a LOT!

First impression massive, heavy Built Stout. My truck is always hooked to a trailer so I figured I would try a nicer set up I was using the B&W which is great for the average Joe that just needs to pull a trailer every now and then but this is a whole new world first trailer I pulled with It I could feel the difference right away it was smoother the vibrations and harsh thump feelings that I would normally get when pulling the trailers when I hit rough roads or bumps was not as bad or gone. It definitely made a huge difference super easy to move height if needed and an added bonus I didn’t think of is that it pushes the trailer back further so you can get a little tighter turning when backing up if needed and i can open the tailgate and it won’t hit the jack on the trailer. On top of that when people see it it’s a conversation starter There are not many of these out there so they are intrigued by the size and how it works. Bottom line in my opinion if you’re towing all the time it is worth the investment. I would invest in another.
Built like a brick s@%thouse. Works great! Keep in mind I use this for pulling same trailer loaded same way every day. I could figure out optimal hitch weight and keep it there

Shipping was a mess, lost the first one in the mail somewhere because no one thought a 50# hitch would punch through cardboard. It is working as expected, but does not seem to be a true 2" drop.

Curt Tri-Ball Mount Review - 2005 Jeep Liberty
Today on our 2005 Jeep Liberty, we'll be test fitting the Curt Tri-Ball Mount, part number C45001. We'll go ahead and install our ball mount first. The tri-ball mount has a 1-7/8 inch ball, a 2-inch ball, and a 2-5/16 inch ball mounted on a hollow enclosed shank, which is black powder coated. It'll fit a 2-inch by 2-inch trailer hitch, and the towing capacity depends on the weight capacity of the ball. The 1-7/8 inch ball has a 5,000-pound towing capacity. The 2-inch ball has a 7,500-pound towing capacity, and the 2-5/16 inch ball has a 10,000-pound towing capacity. Now, both the 1-7/8 inch and the 2-inch balls measure 8-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole.
