NOCO Genius UltraSafe Battery Charger G15000 Diagram

The NOCO Genius G15000 quickly charges and maintains your 12V and 24V lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, using a standard household outlet. Rated for 12V batteries up to 400 amp-hours, or 24V batteries up to 200 amp-hours, it's a great charger for cars, boats, RVs, SUVs, and diesel trucks. With 9 selectable battery profiles, multi-stage charging, and advanced safety features, the G15000 smart charger makes it easy to keep your batteries in peak condition. There's even a JumpCharge feature for reviving a flat or deeply discharged battery.

NOCO G15000 Genius Battery Charger Operation

The G15000 removes the frustration of having to own multiple devices to charge different battery types and vehicles. Just attach the HD battery clamps to the vehicle's battery terminals, select a charging mode to match your application, and wait for the LED indicator to signal that the battery is completely charged. It's that simple.

User-Friendly Interface with LED Indicators

NOCO Genius G15000 Layout Diagram

The G15000 was designed to provide a simple, user-friendly experience. The mode button allows you to easily cycle through the unit's charge settings. Back-lit LED indicators let you verify that the unit is operating correctly, and they allow it to be easily operated at night. These indicators signal the unit's charge status, selected charging mode, and alert you to potential performance issues or errors. This allows you to identify if the battery voltage is too high or too low for your selected mode, or detect a reversed polarity connection to a battery.

9 Battery Charging Modes

The Genius G15000 has 9 selectable charging modes that let you quickly switch between charging different lead-acid and lithium-ion battery types at different voltages. Traditional battery chargers generally only work with a specific voltage or battery type, like lithium-ion or AGM batteries, or only in special circumstances like charging in cold environments. The NOCO G15000 gives you the versatility to tackle different battery types and charging situations in one charger.

NOCO G15000 Genius Battery Charger Charging Modes Explained

The table above details the available charging profiles for the G15000. The charger works with 12V and 24V wet cell, gel cell, enhanced flooded, calcium, maintenance-free, AGM, and lithium-ion batteries with battery management systems (BMS). A 12V repair mode lets you restore lost capacity to sulfated and old batteries.

The G15000 also has a 13.6V supply mode that lets you power a 12V accessory. This works great for powering accessories like a tire inflator around the home or garage.

NOCO G15000 Genius Battery Charger JumpCharge Integrated Battery Starter

The JumpCharge mode can be selected when you need to rapidly recharge a low-voltage or dead vehicle battery. Traditional automotive chargers often supply the proper voltage with insufficient current, or vice versa, which can potentially damage your battery over time. The G15000, on the other hand, combines high-current and high-voltage so you can safely start the vehicle in 5 minutes without worrying about overheating the battery and shortening battery life.

Multi-Stage Smart Charging Technology

The NOCO G15000 smart charger uses an 8-stage charging cycle to quickly and efficiently charge your batery. This ensures that the battery safely reaches maximum capacity without being overcharged.

NOCO G15000 Genius Battery Charger Advanced Smart Charging Technology

In the first step of the charging process, the charger will analyze the battery's condition and state of charge. The charger then uses this data to diagnose the battery's health and ensure it can be safely charged. If the battery is deeply discharged or sulfated, the charger will automatically enter the recovery stage to repair the battery by pulsing small amounts of current.

Once the unit has determined that the battery's condition is stable, it will initialize the charging process by providing a constant, gentle charge. The charger gradually increases the charge during the bulk stage and quickly charges the battery to 80-percent capacity.

As the battery nears full charge, the G15000 enters the absorption stage and delivers small amounts of current to limit battery gassing and safely bring the battery to 90-percent capacity. The charger will then begin optimization of the battery, bringing it to full capacity and optimizing it for increased run time and performance.

The final step of the charging process, maintenance, monitors the battery for drops in power and supplies the correct current to keep it fully charged. If a drop in voltage is detected, the charger will begin the optimization cycle to keep the battery fully charged.

NOCO Genius UltraSafe Battery Charger G15000 Charging Times Diagram

The chart above provides examples of how much faster the G15000 is able to charge some common applications when compared to a traditional automotive charger.

NOCO G15000 Charging Times for Battery Sizes

The table above provides a quick reference for how long it will take the G15000 to charge some different battery sizes.

Heavy-Duty X-Connect Battery Clamps

NOCO G15000 Battery Charger X-Connect HD Battery Clamps

The X-Connect battery clamps included with the G15000 are built to handle tough conditions. Unlike typical, plastic battery clamps, these clamps are constructed entirely of metal, ensuring maximum conductivity. The clamps are covered with an over-molded plastic housing, which makes them easy to operate even with work gloves on. A built-in 40-amp fuse protects your connection against dangerous overloads.

NOCO G15000 Battery Clamps with Eyelet Connectors

Extra-large 3/8" eyelet connectors can be unbolted from the clamps for direct mounting to terminals on hard-to-reach batteries. The lie-flat design ensures maximum contact with terminals to optimize current transfer.

Rugged Weatherproof Design

NOCO G15000 Rugged Weatherproof Housing

The G15000 comes with over-molded connection points to protect the unit from dirt, dust, and water. The unit has an IP44 rating, meaning it can withstand splashing water from all directions, and it's completely sealed against solid particles bigger than 1-mm. A durable X-connect plug ensures a weathertight connection when attaching the clamps to the charger.

The housing is made from tough Lexan resin that protects the internal electronics against impacts. The unit can handle being dropped, kicked over, and just about anything else your day brings.

Interchangeable X-Connect Accessories

NOCO G15000 X-Connect Accessories for Versatile Charging Solutions

The G15000 features a unique X-Connect plug that lets you disconnect the battery clamps and attach other X-Connect accessories (all sold separately) for versatile plug-and-play charging solutions. Add an extension cord to increase your connections reach, or use the 12V female plug to connect and power 12V accessories. Access your vehicle's battery through charging ports with the OBDII connector, or the 12V male plug. With a large variety of available accessories the G15000 can be outfitted to meet your application's specific charging needs.

Performs as claimed: Of the two 8D batteries the charger is assigned to, one responded to de-sulfation attempts. The pair and the charger powered a 300 watt load for 8 hours a day for the next 6 months without incident. The charger indicated 25% discharged at the end of an hour of use. The rest of the year was spent on maintenance charge. This year, a hour spent delivering the 300 watts left the batteries 75% discharged!? Bad batteries , but good charger. 707457

  • Can UltraSafe Battery Charger with JumpCharge Engine Start be Used with 4-Bank Battery Setup
The NOCO Genius UltraSafe Battery Charger with JumpCharge Engine Start # 329-G15000 is designed more with a single battery in mind. Yes, you can wire two 6V batteries in series and then connect them in parallel to two 12V batteries that are thsemselves wired in parallel. This will essentially give you three 12V batteries in parallel with a large amount of amp hours. The positive and negative posts on the second 6V battery will go to the positive and negative posts on the first 12V battery. You will want to use larger gauge wire for this application like 2 gauge that's found in our Cable Set # BDW20197.
