I own a dump trailer that came equipped with this very charger. So I was already familiar with it. I purchased this one and adapted it to an enclosed battery box that I built for my camper trailer. Now I can charge my batteries and still have the batteries locked away and out of the weather

I bought a dump trailer which had one in it. Driving over rough roads it fell apart. The plastic where the inside screws fit broke and it fell apart. I ordered this one and have made a rubber cushion to place between the box and the unit and have taped the box with electrical tape and believe this will keep it from falling apart. Otherwise it works great.
I keep a spare one of these in the shop as we have employes that drive off with the power cord plugged in.
A good tip to rectify this is to wrap the power cord around the Jack handle.
Great item, was a replacement for the one that came with my trailer two years ago that failed but so far so good!!
I think that this item is good so far,but etrailer.com is terrible with communication about back ordered items and I will double think before I order from them again.

This unit was a direct replacement for the old damaged charger. Installed fast perfect fit on the trailer tongue box. This charger has been doing its job for about a year now and I’m heading into another winter so it’s about to do most of its work during the cold season. I have no doubt it will continue to perform.

Bright Way Battery Charger as described. Was delivered as stated. Instead of putting an additional hole in my trailer; have used industrial Velcro to place it inside to protect from weather, connected to battery, and can run a power cord right through the existing hole on back of trailer utility box.

One year later - still happy with Bright Way Battery Charger. Have had no problems or issues with it.
Convenient replacement for unit that was damaged in accident.
Bought three of these over a year ago for our dump trailers (general contractor use.)
All three are installed inside the battery/hydraulic pump box and are out of the weather. ONE of the units has stopped displaying any information (ALL LEDS have quit working) ...this doesn't affect the charging, so in that sense it still works, but none of the lights light up, and the status button no longer works. For how much these cost, and the general type of use they are designed for, I would expect them to be more resilient/made better.
With all that said, I have recently ordered another one, and will continue to buy these in the future. Just be aware that the lights may go out on you in a short period of time/use.

This works out great so far. I just wish that there was a better way to seal it to the trailer box where the battery is. I tried silicone, I am starting to see some rust forming where I had to drill the hole for the charging plug. Other than that it makes keeping the battery at full charge very easy.
