Working in the sand and grass of my driveway my wife and I installed our new etrailer receiver hitch. Great fit and finish! Went right on as described in the online guide. Hitch required a spacer washer on top back bolt attachment point. Taped it on so it would not move while lifting in place and it stayed right there! Used a car jack to raise up and hold the hitch into the underside of the trunk tighten the bolts and reattached the tail pipe done.
Now we can pull our Sunfish Sailboat any where the car will go.

Works great.

I am very pleased with the hitch, ball mount, and electrical package. All were easy to install if you follow the easy to understand directions. An added plus for putting one of these on a MINI is that the hitch can be hidden behind the "black plate/cover" that is on the rear bumper. It looks just like it came out of the factory except when to need to install the ball mount.

The service has been outstanding. This is the place to go.

Purchased to use on my 2020 Yamaha Drive 2 golf cart hitch. I ordered this and an 18” receiver extension. When I placed my online order I received a phone call the next morning asking if was aware that the extension and the receiver hitch were different sizes and would not work together. I was very grateful for the call as I had not realized I had ordered items that would not fit together. Great Customer Service!!!

by:

Great Customer service I received my product however parts were missing. I contacted them after hours to inform them. And I received Email inquiring what was missing. The very next day I received another e-mail and thy are sending Me the missing parts. mind you this was over a weekend. Great Customer Service.

I purchased hitch number 87506 And (2) 2753 ball mounts. The installation was very easy, the entire job took 20 to 30 minutes. I would recommend etrailer.com to anyone looking for a new hitch for their vehicles.

Needed to pull a 5x8 trailer with a 22 forester. This ball mount had the perfect rise to brink the hitch ball to 18 & 3/4” at the center of the ball.

by:

Well built. Make sure you buy the pin separately, as it does not come with the receiver - which I thought would make sense.

Amazing customer service as usual!I love your products, they are heavily road tested and working excellently! I got a friend to buy a trailer hitch too, since it was so easy!

by:

Well-made, but take note this mount has a 1" hole. I had intended to get a class III ball mount with 3/4" hole. I had to get a new ball because my old one has a 3/4" shank. And a new wrench because my 12 inch crescent wrench is too small for this new nut.

by:

You have a great website the product was easy to find and well-defined your price with shipping beat the local prices in my area. The shipping was fast and delivered right to my door. Oh yeah the online tracking of the package was really great. Thank you etrailer.

New ball mount/ball and tires/wheels worked like a charm. Everything arrived on time. I'll be getting all my trailer/towing gear from etrailer.com.

Renewed gear hauler set for new adventures. Thanks etrailer!

by:

The parts worked perfectly. Look forward to using them for real, off road in the Maine north woods.

Strong and dependable

This worked great with my Curt hitch for Subaru Outback 2016. It was a right height for the uhaual trailer as I had to use this as a raise rather than drop. Also, the staff at etrailer was very helpful.

Still doing great!

Used it to raise the hitch ball to level out my camping trailer while towing. It works.

My F150 had an OEM 4 pin trailer plug and hitch.
The 118242 - 7 pin connector with wiring harness is the ticket. The hardest part of the install was dropping the spare tire. The plugs connect directly to the factory plugs and the harness length is the correct length.
The 3035-P brake controller connector harness was just as easy. Plugs right in to the OEM plug next to the ECM connector and the other end into the brake controller.
The PK12711U-26 - 7 pin bracket and hardware kit fastens directly the OEM bracket that is on the hitch. My truck had an OEM 4 pin trailer towing set up with the hitch. The OEM hitch had the bracket welded on it to attach the 7 pin mounting bracket to it.
These kits make this install very easy and professional looking.
If I have one complaint, the hardware kit to attach the 7 pin connector bracket is set up to fasten the bracket directly to the bumper with 2 - self tapping screws provided in the kit. The kit also includes 4 #12 machine screws with toothed washer nuts to attached the 7 pin connector to the bracket. This is fine if your truck hitch doesn't have an attaching bracket welded to it. The kit should included in it 6 #12 machine screws and nuts along with the 2 self tapping screws. Since my OEM hitch actually had a bracket welded to it to attach the 7 pin bracket to it, I had to use two other #12 screws and nuts to attach the 7 pin bracket to the OEM bracket on the hitch. Not a big deal, just a thought.
It took me about 2 hours, start to finish to install the 7 pin connector, trailer controller, and add the two relays in the OEM relay/fuse box under the hood.
I highly recommend these kits.

I chose the Draw tight Max Frame Trailer Hitch for its known quality, i like it comes powder coated to reduce unsightly rust and to keep that fresh look.
I chose the this hitch for my all around light and heavy duty needs.
The Draw Tight Ball Mount is a quality enhancement to this hitch.
I chose the 2" chrome ball for its quality and appearance.
The Curt C55515 wire connector was the best choice for my lighting needs.

Purchased Hidden Hitch Class 3, 2" hitch for my 2007 Honda CRV along with wiring harness and ball mount. Not the handiest person in the world but after installing this hitch, my handy-ego has been inflated. The videos on the website are spot on and are a huge resource for installation. Support during the sale and after were much appreciated. This is one of my top five e-commerce experiences. Well done etrailer.com!

From all appearances, seems to be a solid mount. I will be using this to tow a duel motorcycle trailer. I needed the specific rise to level out a loaded trailer.

This is a follow-up review of the mount. At first it was a little too snug for my Valley Hitch, but that may be the rust built up in the square receiver. So after cleaning it out with a file, and greasing the mount, it slid into the hitch just fine. Ive hauled the bike twice, and I can say that this heavy piece of metal will get the job done nicely. Its heavy, well built, and fits. It accepted a 2 ball with no problems. You wont be dissatisfied - but if you are, then there is probably no pleasing you *joking*

by:

I bought a hitch, stinger, ball and wiring harness for my 2004 Toyota Sienna. It was delivered fast, it was the right stuff, and it fit, just like it was supposed to. It really was as easy to install as it looked in your video. The video was immensely helpful too. The video showed me exactly what I needed to know to get my hitch installed correctly and it gave me the confidence to order online and do it myself. The only drawback is a loss of ground clearance but you warned me fair and square up front about that, so I can hardly complain. Thank you, that was a good investment.

by:

Found this ball mount to work as intended but seems to have a little too much play in my Curtis hitch. It moves around in the hitch some and I wish the fit was a little tighter. However, this is not a safety issue or anything just something I noticed. Also not crazy about the fact that this mount is "Made in China" and would rather have purchased a Made in USA ball mount if possible. However, the mount does seem pretty solidly built and will do the intended job.

by:

Videos extremely helpful.Product was all and even more than expected. The hitch went on without a HITCH, Sorry, couldn't help it. this is how it turned out. would buy again in a heart beat. Thanks

To Whom it May Concern:
I highly recommend
etrailer.com com. I ordered a trailer hitch and bike rack by phone. The sales agent was professional, competent, helpful and friendly. The prices of the products are fair and the delivery was timely and arrived in good condition. It is rare to have a purchase experience of the level of high quality that I experienced with etrailer.com. I am highly recommending this company to others, based on my first experience with them, and I would not hesitate to purchase from them again. 4 stars out of 4. Thank you. Jim B., Falmouth Maine.

by:

Excellent quality. Very heavy duty. The mounting flange is 3/4" thick.

Just FYI: The 4 inch drop is measured from the top of the square mounting tube to the top of the ball mounting flange. When installed inverted, the 2 3/4 inch rise is measured from the top of the square mounting tube to the top of the ball mounting flange. (Note that the "top of the square mounting tube" varies when you invert the mount for rise versus drop.)

  • Can Ball Mount be Used Upside Down to Use in Rise Position
A great majority of standard ball mounts are designed so that they can be used in either the drop or rise position. Using a ball mount like the Draw-Tite # 2753 that you were looking at in the rise position is just a matter of turning it upside down like what you mentioned. This does not typically have any effect on the weight capacity or integrity of the ball mount. With that being said, it's hard for me to say for certain that this is the case with your particular ball mount without...

  • Which Ballmount Should I use on my 2 Inch Hitch on My 2006 Toyota Sienna
One of the most important things to keep in mind when towing a trailer is keeping the vehicle and the trailer level. You could choose a ball mount that has the proper rise or drop to keep the trailer level. 17 inches is a good rule of thumb since most trailers have a 17 inch coupler height. Measure from the ground to the top of the receiver opening. Subtract that number from 17. If it is a positive number, you need a ball mount with a rise of that number. If it is a negative number, you...

  • Does Suspension Sag Need to be Considered When Picking Out Ball Mount Rise Drop
Sometimes suspension sag from the tongue weight of a trailer will be enough that you'd want to compensate by using a ball mount with less drop. Typically though if the sag is excessive you are probably towing more weight than you should be. Since typically it's not possible to get the exact amount of rise/drop from the ball mount that you'd need to totally match the dimensions of the trailer I recommend going with a ball mount that is the next size higher to compensate for that.
