Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Thule Sleek Urban Stroller. This is going to be a really nice option for those of you who want to take your little ones along with you while you're going out for a walk or a jog, maybe to see the beautiful autumn colors, or just making your way around town. This does have a lot of nice features to it that I really like, so I'll try and go over those so you can make sure that this is going to work for you.The first thing I want to say is that this is designed for your six month olds and older. The weight capacity is 33 pounds, so make sure that your little one will fit within that range. If your little one is less than six months, you will need to use a car seat.

There is an adapter sold that will allow you to adapt your car seat to work with the stroller and then once they are six months old, you can use the seat again.The seat itself is really nice. Its got a couple of really nice features to it. One big one for me is that you can simply push in on these side buttons here, lift it up, pull it away, and then turn it around. So if your little one's getting cranky, something along those lines, they want to see you rather than where you're going, you can easily switch that around, keep a better eye on them as you're making your way down the road.Another really nice feature for this is that this handle back here allows this to recline into a couple of different settings. So when it's nap time, if you're not ready to head home yet you can lay him down, make it more comfortable for them, and then bring them up to a recline or full upright position.

So lots of different options there. Make sure everyone is going to be comfortable and happy.If we turn this back around you can see this does click into place to know that everything is going to be nice and secured. Our foot rest will adjust as well. So if you push in on these side buttons and lift that up, gives us several different positions for little one's feet. So as they grow or, depending on how you have it reclined, that would be more comfortable for them.Another really nice thing about this is our canopy.

So on those really bright days, we can adjust how much cover and shade we're going to provide so that our little ones are going to be nice and protected from the UV rays. So, lots of coverage there for us but we can adjust this back to make it however much we want.And another really nice feature for this canopy is that we've got a peekaboo window up here on top. So we can see in, keep an eye on them. It does have a magnetic closure so it's very easy to put back in place when we want to. And on the backside here, this back panel does fold up to provide more of a mesh cover here so that we can allow more airflow on those really hot days, keep it from getting too warm in there.

But then we can also close that back up if we want that full protection again. This does have a zipper to it so we can zip that all up if we want that portion covered.They also include a rain shield so if we're out and about, get caught in the rain, you can easily pull that out. It does have elastic edges to it so it's going to be very easy to get installed. Just put it right over top there. That hole on the back is still going to allow us to access our reclining lever. We simply pull it out and around and then our little one will be nice and dry. We'll still be able to see out, got a little opening here that we can hand them snacks or take care of them. And you can see on the edge here this is a mesh as well so there'll still be plenty of airflow through there to make sure that they have enough air to breathe. Then when we're done, the sun comes out again, we can easily pull this back off and store it.Now for our regular day-to-day use we do have our bumper bar here, which obviously helps to keep them in their seats, help protect them as well. But this can be removed or folded off to the side. Push in on the button here on the side, that lifts up and can rotate around, make it easier for us to get in there, put them in place or take them out.You can see here we do have our five point safety harness. This is going to give us our padded shoulder pads and our side padded straps and our bottom. Very easy to undo that, that'll lift up on the sides here to open that up, get them out. When we're ready to put them in just simply slide that in place, get our top portion clicked in. We're ready to go.Now this does have three different height settings here. So for as our kids are growing we're not going to have to switch out seats. We can just simply adjust the shoulder straps to fit into one of those other height settings. It's not super easy to do, but you probably won't have to do it all that frequently. Getting that hook out of there, pulling it around, but you get the idea. This is going to attach to either this bottom one, this middle one or this higher one to accommodate different heights. You do want to make sure that you're at the closest one to your child's shoulders to make sure that they are going to be buckled in properly. It's going to give us a maximum height for our child of about 44 inches. So that's the maximum that they'll be able to be fit into this seat. So should last you a nice long time, give you lots of options to grow with them.Another really nice feature for me is this adjustable handlebar here. So you can just flip these little levers here on the side and this will adjust in and out so you can get it to your height, whatever's comfortable for you. And then just lock it back in place there and go on your way. We get our bumper bar put back in place very easily there, like so. Again, on this handlebar, you can see we do have a wrist strap. That's going to allow us to make sure that the stroller is never out of our reach. So we don't have to worry about it getting away from us.This does have four wheels rather than some of the other strollers on the market that are three wheels, two back wheels and one front wheel, but having the four wheels is going to be really nice. It's going to provide a nice, smooth movement and a comfortable ride for your little one.Those front wheels can lock into place though, just simply push down on these buttons in front and then get them into forward facing position and they will lock in place. So if you're on some rough trails or you're going jogging, or something like that, where you don't want to risk the wheel turning on you and causing a sudden jerk or tipping, a possibility, you can get those locked in place. Then it's very easy to unlock them again so that you can get back to your more casual stroll, or it's very easy to turn them.The wheels themselves are foam-filled rather than air-filled so you're not going to have to worry about getting a flat, air leaking out of them, or anything like that. Even if they're punctured, they're going to stay nice and firm for you so you can continue on, not going to have to worry about that. The rims do have a reflective quality to them. So if you're out at night, it's going to make the stroller more visible so that you're safer in those low light conditions.On the backside, you can see we do have this brake here. It's going to make our rear wheels lock into place so we're not going to have to worry about the stroller getting away from us again. And then we just simply push on that top portion and that unlocks it so that we can get going again.On the bottom side here, we do have our cargo basket where I have our rain shield, but you can put just about anything in there. It's got a weight capacity of 11 pounds so a diaper bag, something like that, very easily go in there. There's zippered sides so if you need a little bit more room, you can open that up, have open area, or you can have it covered to protect whatever you have stored in there. And then this back portion folds up and again, its got a magnetic closure and a hook-and-loop type of closure there. So, several different ways to make sure that it's going to stay closed.There are lots of different accessories for this stroller. So there's a snack tray, a diaper bag, additional seats so if you have multiple children that you're wanting to take along with you, you can purchase a separate seat so that this will become a dual child stroller. So lots of different options there.And then, as far as storing goes, it's very easy to get stored. So you'll just take off the seats as we did before and we'll set it to the side. Then we can take off the rear wheels just by pushing in on them and pulling out on both sides. And then these handlebars back here allow us to tilt this back and store it in a compact position like this so it's not going to take up nearly as much room in our garage or the basement or wherever it is that we're storing this. And very easy to reverse that process, push in on that button on the wheel again, now it's easy to just slide our wheels back in place. So, very compact storage, very easy to put together, take apart, whenever you need so that you don't have to worry about this full stroller sitting somewhere when you need space. It only weighs about 27.9 pounds. So very reasonable for you to pick up, carry up and down stairs, that sort of thing, so it's not going to be real burdensome for you.Now this does come in several different colors. The one I have here is the Midnight Black option. There's also a Black on Black, as well as a Shadow Gray, Gray Melange, and the other colors that you see on the screen there. So if you want different color for your setup, it's just a matter of preference. They're all going to be exactly the same as far as the features and things, it's just the color that's going to change between them.So, overall, think you're going to be very happy with this stroller. Like I said, a lot of different features to it, to make life a lot easier for you as you're out and about with your little ones. So, overall I think this is going to be a great stroller for you if you're an avid walker, if you just want to have your little one with you as you're going through the park or something like that.So that's going to complete our look for today.
