Note: May interfere with bikes with front fenders.
The T2 Pro X carries 4 bikes, however the front 2 positions can be easily removed so there's less of a load on you and your vehicle if only 2 people are going riding. When it's not needed, simply remove the front section with the included Allen key and throw it in your trunk or leave it at home. To convert the rack to carry 2 bikes, simply remove the handle from the bike rack base, remove the add-on, then reinstall the handle.
The T2 Pro X has ratcheting hooks that grab your bikes firmly by the front wheel, so it won't scratch or scuff the paint. To load a bike, simply place your front wheel in the cradle, rotate the arm up and over the wheel, and press down firmly on the ratcheting hook. To unload your bike, press the gray button on the upright arm to release the ratcheting hook, and slide the hook up.
The wheel trays have cradles with ratcheting straps to secure your rear wheel to the rack. The cradles slide along the tray to accommodate bikes with a variety of wheelbases. To secure your wheel, run the strap over the rim and back down through the strap buckle and pull tight. To remove your bike, press the quick-release button on the buckle and undo the strap.
The rack tilts down with your bikes loaded. So, whether you're at the trail or the grocery store, you don't have to remove your bikes to access your cargo area. It also folds up when not in use. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And if you want to remove it, it doesn't take up as much space to store it.
To make tilting and folding easier, the T2 Pro X's release lever is mounted on the front of the rack. This means you won't have to reach through or around your bikes with one hand to reach the lever, while supporting the rack's weight with the other, when lowering the rack. Instead, you'll be able to hold the rack with both hands the entire time.
The rack quickly installs in your hitch receiver, without the need for tools. Just slide the shank into your hitch and turn the knob until snug. Turning the knob deploys an anti-rattle wedge in the shank to help take play out of the hitch connection. It also sets the integrated SnugTite hitch pin into place, securing the rack to your receiver.
The lock on the hand knob secures the rack to your vehicle. Once locked, the hand knob will spin freely so a would-be thief can't operate it to remove the rack from your hitch. A cable lock (sold separately) can be used to secure your bikes to the rack. Thule One Key System locks (sold separately) let you make all your Thule products keyed alike.

Just what we needed and fast shipping!
Works great, easy to use, secure with locking mechanism so I don't have to worry about it wandering off. Worth the money.
My address was taken incorrectly. They held a package, but luckily I received it. The box is damaged. I took photos upon opening that I will let you know if there’s any damage service was great. I thought I was clear on my address other than that I would order from you again, but I would do it online because then it would be my mistake.
so far.. its good! the instructions/ pictures were a bit confusing for a simple set up... it was easier to figure it out on my own.
High quality. Love the easy access handle for tilting up and down. Tightens into receiver hitch, keeping the bikes very stable. It comes with one lock for the receiver hitch. Wish there were two more, one for each bike. The mechanism is there, but no locks.
Overall the bike rack is superb. The instructions for assembly and mounting are abysmal and the YouTube videos available aren’t much better. Fortunately I figured it out myself. I should have made the YouTube video myself but too late to start from the beginning. It would be worthwhile for Thule to take notice of their cousins at IKEA in making the assembly instructions
Shipped quickly, great price, fits vehicle and bike without issue.
Very, very sturdy. Well made. Got this for occasional family use. The only downside is it’s weight and therefore the ability to easily remove it from the car. Takes two people. Although this is a review of the bike rack, I’d also like to say etrailer people are probably the most responsive of any company with which I have dealt. Kudos.
I bought the bike rack about a year ago and only used the two racks and it worked perfectly. I just added on the other two racks for vacation and had a hard time assembling it. The sleeve didn’t fit properly and the bike hitch didn’t work properly as well. Once I had all four bikes on it was heavy and when I was traveling down the road the rack fell down and damaged the handle.
With the add on to make it 4 bike the latch is very hard to use. We like how secure the bike but need two person to even just put it down because the latch is a pain.. without the add on the latch is so easy to use, very smooth. Now with the add on I haven’t use it much.

Wow! Thank you Vicky. That really means a lot! We have really been making a push to let folks know we are here for them. Going back to the bike rack, it is a beast in the sense of quality and weight for sure! I guess its kinda baked into the cake just because of how many it can carry. Do you have any plans to use the bike in the summer yet?
