BOLT (Breakthrough One-key Lock Technology) has solved that problem by designing a line of locks that can operate with a key you already have handy - your vehicle ignition key.
When you insert your own key into the cylinder, spring-loaded plate tumblers move up and down until they are matched exactly to that key. The first time the key is rotated, the cylinder is uniquely coded to that key. When the key is removed, the cylinder moves into the locked position. When the key is turned again, it will rotate to the unlocked position.
BOLT is particularly useful in commercial applications. Imagine being able to send a crew without having to sign out multiple keys for a work truck, trailer, hitch pins, and equipment locks. With BOLT, the vehicle key becomes a master key. It opens all those locks and you no longer have the hassle of getting to a work site only to find that you've brought the wrong keys.

The lock portion works great! However the actual latch and handle mechanism gave out after about six months of owning. It was a great product as far as accepting my key, it unlocked every time. The handle mechanism just isn’t that strong though.

It worked Great but I didn't know I needed a Dodge key to program the lock. I had to go through my old keys till I found one that would work.
I had my reservations about buying this for my Craftsman toolbox but it worked out to be the best thing ever. Everything is now keyed the same. Toolbox, ice chest, hitch, and hitch pin.
The hitch is great, and the feedback and information from etrailer is even better!! The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was due to installation. The video did not accurately represent my vehicle. (2019 F350 SRW 4x4) If you have a 48 gallon fuel tank and the FX4 package, the hitch is an incredibly tight fight. Half of the bolts are impossible to torque, so I recommend using a good impact and thread locker.
Retrofitted a PJ trailer with a tongue box with this latch. I love the fact that I am able to open all locks and tool box with a single truck key. Installation was a breeze and instructions were straight forward. Hard to beat BOLt products. I use them on everything I own.
Tired of carrying a bunch of different keys to unlock the various locks on your truck? Me too. That's why I ordered these latch replacements that are keyed to my ignition key. I also use the BOLT receiver hitch lock. Now, my ignition key unlocks everything on the truck. This is the second pickup of setup this way. Clean and simple.
Replaced the latch on my RDS 60 Gallon Auxiliary Fuel Tank and toolbox combo. Worked great and this latch functions many, many times smoother that the original latch even after it had been lubed. Now everyone doesn't have a key that works on my auxiliary tank and I have one less key to keep up with.
Exchanged the lock on my Northern Tool trailer tongue toolbox. I had to bend the bracket that hills the pin in the lid of the toolbox for it to hit the right spot on the latch but that was very simple. Works great!! I really love not having extra keys.
The BOLT toolbox lock works great with my FORD key. Have purchased several BOLT locks from 'e-trailer', & all work great.
just as stated, haven't had time to install them but the look like they should be better the what came on the tool boxes.
The latches installed easily and worked great. Programming the key was simple and they work better than the original locks.
The parts were for a customer. Have not heard anything bad

The latch worked excellent!!! She was so excited she could use her Ford truck ignition key and not have to have a different one to keep track of!
