The adjustable channel is made of 5/16" thick, laser-cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending. And because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pin holes, so you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform.
A 1/2" thick steel gusset is welded between the shank and the channel, bracing the mount and keeping the channel from bending, even at the maximum drop or rise.
The solid steel shank is CNC -chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank into and out of your hitch receiver. And with no sharp edges on the shank, the powder coating is less likely to chip and peel.
Each adjustable mount includes a 2-ball platform, which fits in the adjustable channel. The 2 hitch balls are welded onto the solid steel platform for maximum strength and stability.
Finally, the pins and clips included with the ball mount are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load. The nickel undercoat with zinc topcoat provides corrosion resistance and ensures the strength of the pin.
To set up this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount, insert the 2" x 2" shank into your hitch's receiver. Slide the 2-ball platform into the adjustable channel, then use the included pins and clips to secure the platform at the height you need. If you need to switch hitch balls, just remove the pins and clips, flip the ball platform over, and reinsert the pins and clips to secure the balls in place. It's that easy.
Because of this mount's significant drop, it's recommended that you install a stabilizer kit (358stabilizerbars - sold separately) to prevent any wobbling and to remove strain from your hitch receiver.
This BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount is compatible with a wide variety of accessories (sold separately). Instead of using the included ball to tow, you can install a weight distribution shank (358WEIGHTDIST) in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this BulletProof Hitches Heavy Duty Adjustable 2-Ball Mount for two inch hitches. This adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 22,000 pounds, making it ideal for heavy duty towing. This shank will slide into your two inch hitch receiver on your vehicle and it's ideal for vehicles with a 28 to 30 inch clearance from the ground to the bottom of the inside of your receiver tube. Now the adjustable height is going to let you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. The hitch ball platform slides up or down the channel and it secures in place with the included pin and clips. I'm gonna go ahead and remove these clips from the pins and then remove the pins that just show you how easy it is to adjust this platform.
Now the adjustable channel is made of 5/16 inch thick laser cut plates and these steel plates can handle high capacities without bending. And because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pinholes. So as you can see, you can easily remove and replace the hitch ball platform and remove and replace these pins and clips very easily. By the way, these pin and clips are made of heat-treated steel and I'm just gonna adjust my ball from the two inch ball to the two and 5/16 inch ball. And again, you can just see how easily those pins go back into place.
So you're not gonna be struggling with the pin and the clips while you adjust the ball platform, and it's just gonna be very easy to adjust. So these heat-treated steel pins are going to withstand that heavy weight from your load, and the zinc finish is gonna provide corrosion resistance. As you can see, we have nine adjustment holes with seven mounting positions that are available and this is gonna provide you a maximum drop of about 13 and 1/4 inches. And when you flip this over, a maximum rise of about 13 and 1/2 inches. The adjustment hole diameter is 5/8 of an inch and you can tow up to 12,000 pounds with the two inch ball or up to 22,000 pounds with the two and 5/16 inch ball.
And the maximum tongue weight capacity is 3,000 pounds and the hitch balls are welded to the ball platform for extra sturdiness. Now this is made of heavy duty steel construction that is indeed going to be strong enough to handle large trailers and heavy cargo, and I really like this matte powder coat finish. It's not only attractive and not only is it gonna look good on the back of your vehicle, but practically it's gonna protect your ball mount from rust and corrosion, even after repeated use, it's a very thick, durable coating that I think is gonna last you a good long time. This steel shank is solid steel and it's CNC chamfered making it easy to slide this shank in and out of your hitch receiver. There's no sharp edges on the shank, so that powder coating is gonna be less likely to chip or peel.
The hitch pin hole diameter is 5/8 of an inch, and it is important to note that the pin and clip or the hitch lock for securing this hitch receiver, for securing this two-year hitch receiver rather, are sold separately. So if you don't already have a compatible pin and clip, that would be a separate purchase for you. However, I would recommend checking out etrailer.com for hitch locks to secure this investment to the back of your vehicle.
