Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at our Bulldog Heavy-Duty Cast Head Coupler with the wedge latch. It also fits a two inch ball, and it is an A-frame design rated at 8,000 pounds. So folks, this heavy-duty coupler is gonna be perfect and ideal for your utility, livestock, cargo, and construction trailers. As I mentioned before, it has a wedge-style latch, and that's gonna help secure everything and make it really simple to use. It does have the built-in jack attachment here.
Please note that these holes are threaded, and they are three inches center to center any direction. Now, the jack diameter hole is a 2 1/4 inch. And the design here on this A-frame-style coupler is a 50 degree design trailer tongue. It's a welding application, but as you can see, you've got bolt holes here on both sides, so you could potentially bolt it in place as well if you so choose. Now, folks, this is gonna fit a two inch ball.
I'll go ahead and pull one up here just for demonstration purposes. So I got my two inch ball, not included. You simply open the coupler hatch. The ball will go into place and hold securely. And then to undo it, you simply hold that, take the ball back out.
Now, I'll flip it over here, so you can kinda see that wedge. So whenever I pull the lever up, you can see it's pulling that up and out of the way. And if I hold it up, put the ball in, you can see it locked in underneath the ball, so that ball's not going nowhere. And then when it's time to take off the ball, it just moves back out of the way by pulling the lever. Very simple design.
Like I said, nice heavy-duty cast up here on the front, everything else is a nice molded metal here, it's been pressed into the shape it needs to be. The length overall, folks, from the center of the ball, I'm sorry, the front here to the very backside is 18 inches. So again, here to here. The pinhole diameter is a 5/16 inch pin. And I wanna make sure you know that you need a minimum span of one inch here. So if you have a pin lock or a pin, that span is one inch wide. Folks, this is rated at 8,000 pounds of capacity, and it's got a nice five-year limited warranty. Folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our look at this Bulldog Heavy-Duty Cast Head Coupler. I'm Steven, thanks for watching, and have a great day.
