Specs:
The Roadmaster anti-sway bar does for side-to-side movement what a good pair of shocks does for up-and-down motion. You will notice a marked improvement in your vehicle's stability as the bar works to balance weight transfer and reduce body roll. The anti-sway bar acts as a link between your vehicle's frame and its rear axle, using the axle as a brace to more effectively balance the shifting weight of your vehicle as you maneuver it. Lubricated bushings allow just enough pivot and rotation to compensate for the pressure placed on one side of your vehicle when it goes into sudden maneuvers, hits crosswinds or encounters shifting weights.
Superior Construction
The Roadmaster anti-sway bar is made of 4140 chromoly, a chromium and molybdenum steel alloy. This type of steel is considerably harder and stronger than the standard 1020 steel that is typically used in anti-sway applications. In addition, the larger diameter of the bar increases its torsional roll stiffness. The result is a bar that is not only stronger than the competition, but also nearly 30 percent better at resisting sway. The polyurethane bushings and grommets used at the attachment points are durable yet flexible, ensuring that the system is neither so rigid nor so malleable that it becomes ineffective.

The etrailer video was more handy than the accompanying instructions from Roadmaster. etrailer provided videos for both the early E450 and the later chassis installations. While essentially the same, there was a small difference of enlarging an existing hole on the early frame in my case a 2006 and having to measure to locate the hole on the later. It would be nice if Roadmaster included a parts diagram to help with assembly instead of small not clear pictures. I thought the parts package was short two half inch washers, I supplied them from my stock. The fittings on the Roadmaster bar are much heavier than the stock components. Installation is on a 2007 Coach House, motorhome. Took it for a test drive, big difference in handling. 460014
Easy install and a HUGE difference in control. Along with the stabilizer you cannot go wrong. 938239
This product has performed exceptionally. We experienced extreme winds without significant lane-changing effects on Wyoming highways and very little side to side drift when passed by large trucks. I installed the front sway bar without too much effort but the rear bar was a bit more difficult to install so I had a local Mechanic do the work. I’m very pleased with my purchase. 933505
Very good experience. Knowledgeable staff. Made suggestions. Quick timely delivery even with the holiday rush. 928309
they fit great and made better control. 927307
I recently purchased a 2011 Itasca Cambria 28 with only 10,500 miles. Our first trip made it clear that I needed to stiffen the chassis. Unfortunately Roadmaster Anti-sway bars are backordered, and though you should put those on first, I just installed the Steering Dampener. Easy installation though you need to be careful about seating the bushings. The videos are much better than the printed instructions. Already see a big difference in how much tighter the steering is. Can't wait for the bars to arrive. Disappointed to have to wait 4 weeks. 922382
What a pleasure it has been ordering with Joshua at etrailer. They took ownership of a shipping error and corrected it, reshipping the correct item immediately. I will go first to etrailer for all my RV needs. Thanks 918315
The ordering process was absent (that I could locate on the website) a contact telephone number so I was unable to ask any questions prior to ordering, A telephone number was provided after I placed the order on the ordering confirmation. The speed with which the order was activated, processed, shipped and received was more than satisfactory. I had ordered for a Ford E-350 cutaway/class C motorhome but when the order arrived the reference and instructions were identified as a sway bar for a Ford E-450. I tried to call etrailer to confirm the E-450 bar would fit my E-350 but after what I thought was an excessive hold time I hung up and called the manufacture. Roadmaster did confirm the E-450 would in fact fit the E-350. Both companies stated a "guaranteed fit" and a reasonable installation time based on, and considering relocation of the front mounting points (cannot use the original factory sway bar mounting points) and drilling new holes in the frame of the vehicle. If the new sway bar front legs were 3 1/2 inches longer then the factory mounting points could have been used and installation would have taken no more than an hour, and have made the "guaranteed to fit" a reality brag. And, in fairness there was small print reference to possible after market changes to a vehicle that might impact the new installation points. Well, after the purchase of a $100.00 metal cutting saw and over six and a half hours later, during which time I removed and relocated after market structure from my 2018 Thor 24F Class C motorhome, the "guaranteed fit" became reality. My ability to weld was also a benefit during installation. I guess the theory behind the "guaranteed fit" is if you modify your vehicle enough the sway bar will fit! Even though the installation videos did not cover any possible mounting issues or installation options, still they were very helpful in making sure my new sway bar was installed properly. After installation I noticed that the Ford V10 drive shaft does not run down the center of the vehicle which causes the bell housing to be off center. As a result of this position the sway bar/bell housing clearance on the passenger side right behind the rear axle in one spot is barely over a quarter inch. I called etrailer and was told, "I don't know about your clearance issue, but that is the correct sway bar for your vehicle". I guess that means I haven no problem to worry about or I have a time bomb back there while I am driving. Don't take it that the person I spoke with was not polite or trying to help me, he just didn't know or relieve my concerns. (Should he?) In summary, etrailer provided a very competitive price, handled my order quickly and kept me posted on shipping progress and to this point I believe provided me the correct part (as listed by Roadmaster) and provided a telephone number (after the purchase) that I could use to check on my order. All this adds up to four and a half stars in my book. But, what pulls my rating of etrailer lower is the lack of product measurements that would have permitted me to check for potential installation issues and a companion statement in bold print that any after market additions or modifications to the factory frame could require restructuring before the sway bar can be installed. If I had paid shop rate to have this bar installed my installation bill could have been over $600.00 or a shop may have refused the job because of liability concerns if they modify the motorhome frame structure, Ether way, this could have been more than a major disappointment. Since I have to share my feelings about the product installation with Roadmaster, I can't in fairness tag etrailer the total responsibility. I would like to rate the experience lower but I feel etrailer provided services that would be considered normal under most circumstances. 865910
Product works great and absolutely made a difference in the handling and stability of my 28' E450 motorhome. Installation was made difficult because of factory location of the right rear leaf spring clamp from the vehicle factory. 862960
I didn’t have any problems installing the bar other then not having a 17/32 drill bit so I put off the links until day 2. 851040
Installed the RM-1139-147 Rear Sway Bar, RM-1139-176 Front Sway Bar and RM-RBK24-RSSC Reflex Steering Stabilizer for Class C Motorhomes. All three were easy after viewing the etrailer videos to install on a 2019 Ford E450 cutaway. Went test drive, on a windy day. Didn't feel like I had to fight the steering wheel to stay on course. Thank you. 846121
Great product. I installed myself with the help of a family member. We had to drill one hole in the I-beam to make the product fit.....otherwise no issues during installation. We have noticed a significant improvement in the handling of our Class C RV. Strongly recommend anyone with a Class C RV to make this investment to improve the handling of your RV. 845628
All Ford chassis motorhomes should have this from the start!!! 837955
Item was as expected. Installed myself. Went pretty well. RV handles noticeably better. 827568
I worked with the E trailer staff for recommendations for my 2017 E450 motorhome. I was having Sway issues and wind issues with semi trucks inside wind. They recommended a front and rear sway bar, a reflex steering stabilizer shock and the sumo springs helpers for the rear axle. I installed all four items at the same time and all my issues were solved. The coach drives very stable and the Rear of the motorhome does not Sage either. They were great help! 825099
etrailer was excellant. We had a fitment problem and they helped me get in touch with Roadmaster who finally solved the problem. etrailer was very helpful and helped with the whole process. I would highly recommend etrailer. Thanks! 809232
I put this rear sway bar on our 2020 Winnebago Spirit 31G. It was a huge upgrade from the stock bar. The thickness comparing the two Sway bars Side by side is night and day. The rear house sway before on turns or uneven surfaces was pretty drastic. Now it is minimal and much more controlled. Worth the money and a DIY install. 804475
We have a 32’ class C motorhome on a Ford E450 chassis. Spoke to Pat who recommended the rear sway bar and stabilizer from Roadmaster. WOW! Night & day. It was a pleasure to do business with them. Super knowledgeable and lightning quick shipping - I was notified the item was shipped within an hour. It shipped Friday and I received on Monday half way across the country. Definitely highly recommend. 804199
Not overly difficult for a one person install. Really make a difference when the semi's pass. Instead of being blown 2-3 foot to the side, now it is at most 6 inches. Mounted on a 32 foot 2015 Class C. 802697
excellent service 793180
Very nice product and video and instructions are excellent. Best price on ETrailer. About 1.3 hours to install on Ford E-450 Winnebago Spirit. 785853
Easy install and very big improvement in handling 779426
Product works as advertised. Virtually eliminated sway. Driving the RV is now a pleasure. etrailer always delivers and has knowledgeable people ready to help with advice . 777417
Always fast delivery and excellent prices. Have yet to install it but I'm looking forward to improved handling on my Class C MH. 764069
Really firmed up the suspension. Steering is definitely improved and 18 wheelers no longer blow me off the road when they pass. The combination of the thicker anti-sway bars and the steering stabilizer provided a 1000% improvement in the travel experience for our motorhome. 749379
