Low air pressure is the chief reason for air spring failure. To avoid this, you have to either regularly monitor your air springs or find a device that will do it for you. Air Lift's Load Controller II air control system for light-to-medium-duty vehicles does just that. If the air pressure in your air springs falls below the minimum level, the system's low-pressure sensor detects the decrease in air pressure. Then the system activates automatically to adjust air pressure as needed.

Load Controller II has virtually vibration-free operation and is made to help support your air springs as they take on weighty loads. The dual-path controller lets you adjust two air springs independently of each other for better control. So aside from leveling your vehicle front to back, you can also level it side to side by putting a different amount of air into each spring. This allows you to even out an off-center load. Gauges provide detailed monitoring of your air pressure.

Alternatively, you can use the Load Controller II to adjust and monitor two pairs of air springs independently. Using this configuration, you can put different amounts of air into your front pair and rear pair of springs, allowing you to level your vehicle front to back. Or you can purchase an additional Load Controller II system to monitor and adjust four air springs individually.

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you send to your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Review from a similar Air Lift Load Controller II in Air Suspension Compressor Kit

I first realized that I needed some help leveling my 2006 Yukon XL right after I hooked my 2 place trailer to the vechile. My previous Yukon had self leveling rear shocks, the 2006 did not come w/ that option. I mounted the compressor on the top of the passenger side wheel well, (there is plenty of room there, & away from engine heat) I mounted the pump & dump switchs , & the pressure gage on a piece of kydex that I cut to fit in the little cubby that is below the heat/ac controls. The hardest part was getting the lift "bags" into the coil spring tower, time & patience. The install looks factory, & works great to level the vechile while towing. Great product! 476879

Review from a similar Air Lift Load Controller II in Air Suspension Compressor Kit

I will say excellent but truthfully I just installed today. Will know more after a trip or two. Works as it should. Had plenty of everything I needed. Only thing I did not like was lack of a relay. I personally don't like pulling 15 amps off of my fuse panel. I used the supplied wire as a signal for a 30 amp relay and pulled it from a lug near the battery. Maybe not necessary but made me feel better. The compressor is noisy. Would have installed under a seat bit did not like the noise. Found a place that should keep it out of water splashing from tires. We'll see. Only problem was the pressure switch was supposed to be set at five pounds. More like one. Easy to fix. 261607

The install was very straight forward and the instructions were great. I had more than enough air line for an extended cab short box chevy. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. It has no problems supplying enough air to the air bags and it does it quickly and quietly. 65154

  • Recommended Airbag Kit for a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited Denali
  • I do have an option for you but The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2430 will not fit your 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited Denali. The only set of airbags we have that are confirmed to fit the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited as of September 2018 is the Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs part # AL59565 which have a 2,000 lb capacity. The above airbags are not as heavy duty as the Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs but will still offer support and won't sacrifice as much ride quality....

  • The difference between the Air Lift Air Shock Controller Compressor System # AL25804 and the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System # AL25592 is that the 25804 is the standard compressor system where the 25592 is the upgraded version that has a better gauge with an LED backlight and extra parts so you can also inflate/deflate your air bags manually if you choose to. Aside from those couple of things they have the same compressor system and are single path operation which means...

  • Advantages and Disadvantages of Using a Single Path or Dual Path Compressor System for Air Springs
  • Your understanding of how the air in the bags will operate is correct. If both bags are on one valve the air will shift from one to the other while turning with a heavy load. However, if the load is distributed evenly it will also return to even once you straight out. So it isn't really an unsafe situation unless the load is much heavier on one side compared to the other. With dual valves if one bag was to lose air for some reason your ride would then be uneven. If the other bag...
