Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the replacement hardware kit for the Westin HDX grill guards. This is a custom fit part; it is designed to fit the 2010 and newer Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks. On a custom fit part like this, I always recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year, model, and vehicle, and it'll show you if this'll work for your application.This hardware kit replaces any lost or damaged mounting components on your Westin HDX grill guard. It is designed to fit the part numbers 57-3550 and 57-3555; both of those grill guards we do sell separately on our website. This kit here will include all the mounting brackets you need and all the hardware for installing the grill guard to your vehicle.
You can see they do have a nice black powder coat finish on it to help resist rust and corrosion. It does come with a nice set of instructions that'll describe how everything installs. That should do it for the review on the replacement hardware kit for the Westin HDX grill guards.

The kit came with everything that I needed. The instructions were easy to follow. My grille guard is stainless steel but all of the hardware is painted black. I was lucky that the previous owner of the guard had kept the unpainted stainless steel hardware. I just had to use some of the hardware from the kit for the mounts underneath the bumper. I did not remove the lower plastic part of the bumper and just eyeballed where I needed to drill through the plastic. It worked out great. It took me about three hours by myself to install the guard. I highly recommend this kit.

After a year my grille guard still isn’t installed due to the fact the mounting kit I received wasn’t correct and when I tried to mount it, it was directly in the center of the headlights.

Can you please tell me the part number of the grille guard and the year, make and model of the vehicle? Grille guards and the bracketry and hardware are vehicle specific. The bracket/hardware kit you purchased is meant for either the # 57-3550 or the # 57-3555 Westin HDX Grille Guard for a 2010-2019 Ram 2500-3500. If you have a different model number grille guard or a different model truck, the bracket kit wont work.

overall the hardware was perfect the only thing I would have preferred was the smaller bolts used to reattach the tow hooks were larger in dia.
