Hi there, flat towers. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at etrailer's replacement crossbar for Roadmaster crossbar-style baseplates. This replacement crossbar is useful if you damage your existing one, or if, maybe, you just recently got a new vehicle that you're going to flat tow behind your motor home. And maybe you had an etrailer tow bar before hooked into maybe a Blue Ox or a Demco or another manufacturer's base plate, or even maybe a Roadmaster, but it was a direct connect. And on your new vehicle, you decided to go with a crossbar-style Roadmaster baseplate. You can purchase just this component here, as well as the clevises to get everything hooked up.
You may or may not have the clevises from your previous etrailer tow bar, depending on the kit that you purchased. If not, you can purchase these clevises here separately, so you can attach those onto the end. They don't come with the crossbar, it is their own separate little kit, but there is a good chance that you received these with an etrailer tow bar previously. But yeah, if not they are available. The clevises here along with the pins, all kind of come together as a kit.
What you'll get with your crossbar here is the crossbar, as well as the hardware that's required to attach it to the Roadmaster baseplate. The replacement crossbar is going to come with the hardware. You will need some blue Loctite to attach it. It's recommended to put that on there before you bolt it down, but once you've got it in place here, you do have your two lugs here that'll allow you to attach your etrailer tow bar into the appropriate clevis. The crossbar here also provides safety cable attachment points on it right here.
And that's nice because with this crossbar saddle, it does extend out your connection point a little bit further away from the vehicle. So by bringing this safety cable extension or bringing the safety cable attachment point out a little bit further, it could make all the difference between it requiring longer safety cables and the ones that you currently have working properly. Since we kind of put it right here next to the arm, it pretty much guarantees that the safety cables we we're using before should work fine with this one. And that completes our look at etrailer's replacement crossbar for Roadmaster crossbar-style base plates..
