Hey everyone. Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2017 Crossroads Cameo Fifth Wheel. I'm gonna walk through how to install the etrailer.com bearing kit for 7 to 8,000 pound axles. They come in a set for one axle. They're going to come with both inner and outer bearings, your inner seal, and also they're going to come with new lug nuts for your wheel.
These are designed for 7 to 8,000 pound axles to be used with 13 inch disc hub and rotor assemblies, as well as standard hub assemblies. To start our installation we need to remove our old drum assembly. I'm gonna take some grease with my hub facing down. We're going to spread some around the inside here where our new bearings are going to go into place. With our bearing and hand, a glob of grease.
What we're going to do is we're gonna take it and we're gonna face it down, and we're going to push that grease inside this gap on both sides. I'm going to start on the backside here. And what we're doing is we're forcing that grease inside of here. We're going to take our bearing. You'll see one side is smaller than the other.
It's kind of tapered. We're going to put the smaller side facing in, and we're going to drop it right down, just like that. Then we're going to take our seal and place it just like that. And you can do this a couple of different ways. You can use just a small block of wood, or you can use a seal driver if you have one.
You just want to make sure when you do this it's not going in crooked. Try and go in as straight as possible, and we're going to try and get it level with this outer edge. Just like that. Then we're going to take our disc and we're going to slide it onto our spindle. Push that back as far as it'll go. Then we're going to repeat the process for packing our front bearing. I'm going to take a little bit more grease. I'm going to spread it on that inner race. I'm sorry, this outer race for outer bearing. And then, same thing. Outer one's tapered. We're going to put the smaller side facing in. Push it in as far as it'll go. We're going to reinstall our washer. Reinstall the castle nut. We'll install our cap. Come back, go ahead and fill it with grease. Then you're ready to go. That's going to do it for our look at and installation on our etrailer.com bearing kit for 7 to 8,000 pound axles on a 2017 Crossroads Cameo Fifth Wheel Camper..

With this particular order I was notified that it was on back order and the time it would take for me to receive it. It continued to be on back order past the original delivery time and so on. etrailer.com continued to take the time to inform me of the delay that was at no cause of theirs. I was informed by phone and updated regularly by email. They went out of their way to keep me informed. This was a great help for me and my customer. I have never been disappointed with the service. Their pricing is fair and shipping is fast. I would recommend them as reliable and friendly with all the best products.
Product seems great, the packaging arrived quite damaged and I am missing a lug nut.
Not a whole lot to say... Bearings all fit right, and the seal went in as it should. Arrived on time and worked fine.
Only wish the bearings would have been US made for better quality
