Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the Replacement Short Hook Assembly. This is going to replace a lost or damaged short frame hook for your Yakima Fourtimer hitch mounted bike rack. As you can see, there are two masts here, or folding arms, whichever you prefer to call them. This is going to fit the farther out mast, or the outer mask, the one that's farthest away from your vehicle.
There are two hooks on your outer mast. You have a long hook and a shorter hook, and then on your inner mast you've got a long hook and a short hook there. The hooks on your inner mast are different from the hooks that are on your outer mast, so you want to make sure that you're getting the right one. This is going to be for the outer mast. It is the short hook for that. If you're needing any of the others, you can find all of them here at etrailer.com.
You can see on the screen there, we've got both the short and long for both the outer mast and the inner mast, so whichever one that you're needing, just remember the inner mast is the one that is closest to the vehicle when you have the bike rack installed. But this is exactly the same as your original. It's going to ratchet down to hold your bike in place, going to connect to the frame of your vehicle. It does have this padded sleeve here to protect the finish on that frame. Then you can push in the lever here and that's going to release it so that you can remove your bike. We do have the push pins that will allow us to fold our hook in and pull it back out when we're ready to use it.This is just going to include the one replacement short frame hook.
It is called a B assembly. The long hook would be the A assembly, so make sure that you are getting the right hook for what you need. Again, we have all of the options here at etrailer.com. If you are needing the short hook for your outermost mass, this is going to be the hook that you need, and I think it's going to do a great job for you. It is a Yakima product, so you can trust that it's going to fit.
It's going to do what you need it to do. That's going to complete our look at the Replacement Short Hook Assembly for your Yakima Fourtimer bike racks. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Several issues with the Two-Timer: 1. Lots of rust 2. Even when all connections are tight, there is a lot of wobble 3. The tie downs should ratchet 4. The foam on the arms wore through very fast. I like the basic design though
