Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real brief look at this Yakima replacement Two Inch Anti-Rattle Hitch Bolt Assembly. This is going to replace the anti-rattle hitch bolt assembly for your Yakima bike rack. And I have those bike racks listed there. The BackSwing 4, BigHorn 4, FullSwing 4, KingPin, and then the SlickRock 4.
And as you can see, I have the individual model numbers of those bike racks, along with the Yakima Kayak or Canoe Carrier, and the specifically the DryDock, also identified by the item numbers there, all for your reference. Includes the hitch bolt, nut, anti-rattle insert, and clip.Purchased to repair a stripped bolt on my Yakima Backswing. Despite the product listing the Backswing as a compatible item, the piece did not fit. After digging and calling Yakima directly, I learned that this product works on the OLD Backswing bike rack, NOT the newer Backswing hitch adapter. Etrailer was great about returning the item, but the listing for this product could be updated to be more clear.
Perfect replacement for an old Yakima hitch pin that mysteriously disappeared. Much longer pin but works like a charm!

He salvaged a less than memorable performance by one of his peers by taking the time to listen and research my needs for a part needed for my Yakima Bike Rack. He "rocks" and I am now quite happy once again. I had lost the part which allows me to safely lock the rack on my vehicle.
On receipt of the part, I notice that it has “clip points” that would indicate that the bike rack should have two holes for the points to snap into. My rack does not have these holes.
My rack is 20+ years old and they must have changed the design sometime since then.
You may want to indicate on your site that this part is for the “new model” and will not easily be useable in the older model racks.

This replacement hitch bolt is specific for certain Yakima products. If you let me know which Yakima product you need a hitch bolt for I am happy to assist.
I have an older Yakima receiver rack that needed an extension to clear the tire carrier on my Jeep. I wanted a way to secure the extension and remove the rattel the extension was making. This combined with the Yakima lock did the trick. Easy to install.

excellent
I purchased this item to stop the rattle on our Yakima swing arm rack but I CAN NOT FIND out how to assemble it on the hitch. Help, help, help. All I can find is how to put the pieces together and not how to mount it on the hitch/bike rack ?????

I have experienced this unit on my Yakima rack, it's great. I bought two more sets to use on a couple of other rack sliders to firm them up as well. I shaved one down to fit inside the slider but that's not a big deal.
Kudos to etrailer's system, it's easy to see that the etrailer staff is on-the-ball with their business. That being said, I can't help but notice there was no complimentary bag of Peanut M&Ms in the box.
This works perfectly for my Yakima HoldUp 2 with 2” receiver. Very fast shipping and took less than 5 minutes to remove the previous bolt that was tightened too tight by the previous owner and replace this entire replacement hitch hardware. I had actually order the wrong part online. A quick call to customer service George J, and he setup the correct part for me at a 30% savings over the wrong part I had placed on line. I highly recommend this company!,
This product was an ideal replacement for the Yakima Bike Carrier. We had lost this bolt to secure the 4-bike carrier that we owned to the car. Product arrived quickly and was sealed in a plastic bag in perfect shape. I certainly recommend it to others. You should check to see that the carrier will fit your vehicle.
The insert does not come close to fitting in the end that goes into the receiver. If not for the service E trailer provides I would not have wasted my time to do a review! I need to return it and am still looking for a replacement!

The hitch bolt/nut assembly isnt a universal-fit part, itll only fit the Yakima bike racks listed in the product description above. If you could tell me the make and model of your bike rack, Id be happy to help you find the correct part.
My replacement hitch bolt is working like a champ. It fit my old rack perfectly, installed easily, and has been working great ever since (~ 1 year).
Shipping and support from etrailers was excellent.
Worked well with the 2" reciever we purchased. Received this product very quickly without paying for Next Day or 2nd Day Air.

This replacement part resurrected my Yakima bike rack! Worked perfectly!
Finally, a threaded hitch bolt long enough for a class V hitch with a sleeve adapter! I've had a heck of a time finding something that would work. This does the trick. Well packaged, fast shipping. The only thing that would make it better would be free shipping.
Exactly what I was looking for to fit my 10-year old Yakima 4-bike carrier. I lost my bolt and locking cap. Etrailer had both items and they fit my carrier perfectly.
Worked great for my truck with 2 1\2 inch receiver . I needed the extra length for my Yakima bike rack.
I really needed the Y8890200 bolt and nut, but you sell Y8780022 as the set I needed for the 2" receiver. I used both items to make what I needed and used the old nut. Your description are not very clear on the actual length, Thread and bolt dia. That would have helped me purchase only what I needed.

I have gotten in contact with the manufacturer and they have confirmed that this hitch bolt will fit the BackSwing bike rack but it is not designed to fit the Backswing hitch adapter.
