Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a replacement SKS Lock Core for your Yakima racks and carriers, specifically key to A133. Now folks, this does replace or add one Yakima SKS or sand key system lock cylinder to your Yakima system. It does allow all your Yakima products to be keyed alike. You can see it engraved there, A133, right under my sticker. It's got the nice spot there in the top for the key to go in and everything for it to go into place in the accessory or in the part.
Now folks, this does fit key number A133 that matches it, that's sold separately. And you wanna make sure when you're getting these cores to be able to change 'em out, you will need what's called a control key for the same system. That is purchased separately off of that item number on the screen. Basically a control key is simply a tool. So what you'll do is when this core is unlocked and only when it's unlocked, that control key basically slides in the core, acts like a tool.
You can then put it inside of your accessory or whatnot, turn it to lock it in place, and then when you pull the control key out, you still have to lock it or unlock it with your normal key. So that controlled key is really just a tool, you know, it's called a control key. It's not a master key. You're not gonna be able to unlock anything with it whatsoever. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up.

So I cleverly lost one of those. I don't even know its name, just that I lost it. It's the lock that goes on the trailer hitch pin to prevent removing the bike rack. Easy to lose, but that's Yakima's fault, not etrailer's. I've dealt with etrailer before and have been completely happy, but I could not find this part on etrailer, just an entire kit. I emailed them and described what I needed and they got right back and said sure, and now it's got its own listing on our website, and gave me a link. They pointed me to the part, a new lock core and a master key. I ordered the parts, got a quick delivery, and the new lock core and rekeying was push pull click click. I am a happy customer!
I just felt that I needed an extra bike hitch lock for my Yakima rack. etrailer was geeat on shopping and delivery.
Yakima lock cores are still working great after a year on the job. Always out in the weather and Florida humidity. No issues with them at all.
Delivery and quality of my order was very good. Appreciate having availability of items like individual Yakima control tower and SKS lock cores as I needed to replace a SINGLE broken tower with lock.

Perfect addition to my Yakima rooftop system. New locks work with old keys and new. Couldnt tell which are which anymore, all work equally well.
