Hello friends and neighbors, welcome back. I'm Steven with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at this Yakima Cargo Net for your Yakima MOD Storage System. Now, put simply this cargo net is basically just gonna, you know, help secure loose gear on top of the Yakima MOD Storage System and it's gonna help, you know, make stuff so it's not shifting, falling over, that kind of stuff. So again, if you're not familiar with the Yakima Mod Storage System, it's basically a modular in-vehicle storage system made up of drawers and accessories that are different sizes and shapes. You can, you know, kind of change 'em in and out depending on your needs.
And they're designed with the car campers and those kind of enthusiasts in mind, you know, going over the, overlaying, that kind of stuff. So it is very nice and ideal for like your bulky items. Maybe something that doesn't fit inside of one of those MOD boxes. So it's got a nice elastic cord on it. Let me zoom in here and show that a little better.
So again, a nice elastic cord that's gonna stretch and fit the contour of any shape you got. Now it does have these little plastic hooks, I'd guess about every 10 to 12 inches around it. And as you can see that square opening there, these basically attach to the tracks on the home base or the topper units that you have with that Yakima MOD series. Now you wanna make sure- these hooks are movable so you can, you know, move them along that track series, but you wanna make sure that they are faced outward. So pretty much when you're looking at it, if it's installed correctly, it should look like it is now.
That hook should be facing outward. Now zooming back out, obviously this is elastic, so it's stretchable. I got roughly 40 inches wide by about 24 inches on the short side. So again, keep in mind this is stretchable, so that 40 by 24 is just approximate. It's not a for sure measurement.
You may get one that's a little shorter maybe whenever it's not fully expanded or anything like that. Again, that's just an approximate measurement. Now it does have a nice limited lifetime warranty, and again, it's got lots of these heavy duty plastic hooks all the way around it, like you can see. And again, it's nice and elastic, stretchable both ways. (net clatters) So again, it should cover any kind of cargo (net clatters) that you're wanting, that's maybe an odd shape or size, again for your Yakima MOD Storage System. Well folks, again, I'm Steven with etrailer.com. I hope this video's been helpful for you. Have fun out there traveling and stay safe.
