Colin: Hey everyone. It's Colin here at etrailer, and today we're going to take a look at the Yakima hi-lift jack holders. Now, this is a set of brackets that mounts to the T-slot of your Yakima lockNload platform rack, or it can mount to your HD crossbars in the T-slot on those, on whether you have a truck bed rack or a roof rack. The brackets do a great job of holding your jack in place so that you don't have to store it inside your vehicle or on top of your platform rack, conserves space in both of those areas. And especially if you've used your jack to get out of a sticky situation and it's got dirt and mud all over it, you definitely don't want to throw that inside your vehicle. The brackets are going to be able to hold a hi-lift jack without to a 15 millimeter standard bar and anything smaller. It's also going to be able to hold most common jacks.
They also have a really nice sturdy steel construction. It's going to be very durable and hold up well to the elements. And especially with that black powder coat finish, helping it resist rust and corrosion, it's going to look really nice on top of your vehicle. You can see it matches our lockNload rack very well, and it will also match your HD bars. We're going to have two different points where our jack is secured at the side with our plate. We do have a bracket which folds over the bar right here, and it's got some nice rubber coating on it, that's going to help make sure it doesn't harm or scratch the finish of your jack.
And we just have a bolt with a lock washer and a flat washer up here. We just tighten that down in that bracket is going to keep your jack secure. It does use a 17 millimeter wrench. So just make sure you've got one of those on you for when you want to use your hi-lift jack. You can see it just does a great job of securing it.And at the front we're just going to utilize the holes that are already in our jack with another bolt, which is also going to be a 17 millimeter head.
We just tighten that down with a lock washer and a flat washer into the back of the bracket. Again, like you can see it's got a really nice hold on our jack. Now you can see this little piece hanging off the side of our bracket. What we can actually do is get a padlock, does not come with one, but you can pick one up here at etrailer or your local store. You can just put the padlock through the hole on the bracket.
Then through another hole on your jack, and it'll keep it secure to your brackets. The brackets are going to have a weight capacity of 35 pounds. So make sure you double check and make sure that your jack does not exceed that weight limit. Well, now that we've gone over some of those features, let's show you guys how to get your brackets installed and then your jack loaded up. Now because we're installing it on our lockNload rack, it's going to use the T-slot on the side that's a going vertical front to back of the car, and it's also going to use the horizontal strip as well. So we can't install them both onto our bracket just yet. What we're going to do is install one of them on the front hole right here. So we'll just feed that through. And then just put that on. And then from there, we'll just feed it into the vertical T-slot and leave it sit. We're going to take this other piece and feed it by itself through the T-slot on the horizontal channel, and then just take your finger and slide it all the way over to the bracket. Now make sure you have a lock washer and then a flat washer installed. We'll just drop it through the hole. You may need to kind of stick your finger in and prop up the bracket. And from there just take your fingers and just thread it onto your little T-slot piece. And then just tighten it down with your fingers until it's a little bit snug. And then with our included tool, just tighten down both of those bolts and then repeat this process for your other bracket, and then really make sure you get the appropriate amount of spacing between your brackets to make sure it has the best hold on your jack. Rule of thumb, if you have a standard size, hi-lift jack, it's probably going to be four slats between the two brackets. Now we're going to take this bracket and flip it up to where it props itself up. And then we're going to come up to the front one and remove the bolt right here. Now with the bolt, just go ahead and set it on the rack so that it's right here when you're ready to secure it. Now, we does lift our jack up onto our brackets. We'll take this bracket and flip it down over top of our bar. And then go ahead and use your fingers and tighten up the bolt as far as you can. Now, we'll just take our bolt and feed it through the hole of our jack and then thread it onto our bracket holder. Now we'll just grab our 17 millimeter wrench and then tighten it down all the way.Now go ahead and give your jack a good shake and make sure that it's secure. And that's it. Now you're ready to hit the road. Thank you all for watching, but that's going to do it for our look at the Yakima hi-lift jack holders..

Don't worry about getting stuck in the middle of nowhere with this high lift jack carrier. Brackets mount in the top channels of your Yakima LockNLoad platform and let you carry a 35 lb jack. Lock loop lets you add a padlock (sold separately).Love it, looks great and it feels pretty solid. I have the 60" hi-lift jack, weighs about 31lbs and it's solid on the mount. I have it mounted on my overhaul hd bed rack on an F-150. Very easy to install, took maybe less than 15 minutes.
Extremely well made and fit my lock n load rack perfectly. Easy installation and holds hi-lift jack securely and can be locked. Great product. This a five star product, but is overpriced, that's why the four star rating.
I am very happy with this because it is very strong and resistant the last time I bought one and it broke in less than two months but it was a different model but this is strong I recommend it
Thanks for your response and business.
