Add-on lets you convert your Yakima HoldUp EVO 2-bike carrier for 2" hitches (Y02479) into a 4-bike rack. The add-on bolts easily to the base of your original rack with included hardware.

- Add-on converts your Yakima HoldUp 2-bike rack for 2" hitches (Y02479 - sold separately) into a 4-bike carrier
- Large front- and rear-wheel cradles make it easy to load bikes
- Pivoting rear-wheel cradles with ratcheting straps adjust to fit bikes of most lengths
- Deep wheel cradles and extra-long wheel straps accomodate fat bike tires up to 5" wide
- Adjustable bike trays slide side to side to optimize bike spacing
- Integrated cable locks with Same Key System (SKS) locks secure bikes to the rack
- Easy installation
- Remove the endcap from the base of the bike carrier
- Slide the add-on's shank into the base of the carrier
- Insert the incldued bolt
- Solid steel construction with glossy black powder coat finish is stylish and rust resistant
- Signature bottle opener built into the end of the rack allows you to enjoy a cold one after a long ride

Unfortunately this add on didn't work that well. The connection is poorly done and it sags a lot! Even with light weight bikes (XC Carbon race bikes) it would sag down and bounce. If you have a large truck with a very high hitch, this may work for you but the bounce is really unnerving.
We sold the whole rack and went with a 1UP rack that we are very happy with.

I needed this rack extension for four bikes and could not find it anywhere. I ordered from etrailer even though it was backordered. etrailer kept me in the loop on my order and got it to me asap.

There are hardly an differences so the measurements should be close if not the same. The distance between the brackets is 8-1/16 inches and the distance between the platforms themselves is 8-1/8 inches. The Platforms themselves sit at 2-3/4 inches wide.

If you have the standard model # Y02445 then there isn't a compatible add-on to increase the capacity to 4 bikes. The EVO model # Y02479 has the add-on # Y02482, which is not compatible with any other models. You can still replace the shank of the HoldUp # Y02445 with the 2" shank # 8880580 so that it can fit into a 2" receiver, but adding on more bikes unfortunately isn't going to be an option.
