Hello, neighbors, this is Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at a simple replacement barrel clip for your Westin Platinum Series and Signature Series round nerf bars. So, folks, basically you're replacing a step pad, that plastic centerpiece you step on on your Westin Signature Series or Platinum Series round step bar, and you have to have these barrel clips on those prongs on the bottom side of those pads. Let me throw an image up here real quick. So normally you have three to four of those black pegs sticking down, these barrel clips simply push up on top of those pegs, and then they get all four pressed down together in the nerf bar itself. Now keep in mind when you're installing these little guys, they all must be installed in the same direction and parallel with that nerf bar to install and hold correctly.
These clips are 3/8 of an inch thick. They're super small. Try to get a zoom in here to show you the best I can. Very, very simple, again, you get one barrel clip with purchase. Again, most times you need three or four per step pad, depending on those pegs sticking out the bottom.
Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up for this review of the barrel clip. I'm Steven, thanks for watching. Have a great day.
right part makes it easy to put in
Works perfectly.
Exact part, and fast delivery.
I used this on my GM steps on my '06 Avalanche. Worked perfect!
perfect replacement for the ones that were missing
Great product & price. Awesome customer service.
Worked very good. Be sure to remove old clips first.
Great product. Works exactly as intended..
Product was purchased to replace old part. Does what it's suppose to do
Great experience!Just what I needed at great price! Delivered earlier than expected. Web site saved as a favorite.
I ordered the replacement step but failed to order 4 barrel clips. I thought I was ordering 4 but instead only got 1. So I place another order. Otherwise, I feel like the order was received and shipped very promptly. Very pleased!
Exactly what I needed to install new running board pad. Excellent product, excellent service. Very satisfied. Etrailer rocks!!!!
Helpful to have with new step pad. Made install much easier. Will certainly use etrailer in the future.
These clips hold down the pad on my Westin tube steps on my truck.
Worked very well and was just what I needed to replace one of the pads with.
I have a 2005 Dodge Dakota with aftermarket running boards, brand name 'Force', one end of the drivers side pad popped up, right where I step (naturally!), found this clip to be the right size! Carefully tamped it in with a rubber mallet, happy with the results!
just what i needed
Great fix for my steps. I’m glad I searched for these clips before buying new step covers.
The product is great fit perfectly fine And it worked good on my Running-board.
Ordered replacement clips for my 2003 F250 plastic tread inserts that had deteriorated on my westin nerf bars. The barrel clips worked out great and thanks to etrailer for making them availible. I've ordered several front mounted 2" hitches on three of my trucks including a swing-away rear bicycle hitch from etrailer in the past and never had a problem. Great outfit to deal with.

All is good with any items that Ive purchased thru etrailer.
The barrel clips aren't strong enough to keep the rubber pads locked in place on the nerf bars. It could be that the rubber pads are too stiff; possibly use a softer rubber. It could also be that the clips should be made of a stronger metal.
It doesn't pay to run a vehicle through a car wash because the car wash material somehow grabs the rubber pads and starts to pull them out of the nerf bars.

This is what probably happened in my case. going throught the car wash. Has anyone else had this issue? Any solutions. Lock tie, gorrilla glue?
GM no longer makes replacement barrel clips for my 2005 GMC Sierra step pads. So I found etrailer that still can provide them. I spoke to a real human being at etrailer who provided fast, pleasant, high-quality service. The clips fit perfectly and I was able to use my existing pads with the new clips. Easy to install and it all looks like new.

One year later the clips are holding perfectly and my step pads still look great.
These are a must have if your going to replace the rubber steps on the truck side rail (Bar).
Easy to put in the holes and they hold very good. Installed four and it only took 15 seconds, I already had the old ones out.

Good morning back to you Patrick, In reply to you question, I like the product better then the original part and it is working good, I have your website saved in my truck folder in Favorites on my computer if and when I need other parts. Thanks for great products that are easy to install, look good and function flawlessly.Have a great day.
I'm happy w/ quick and very good response from you guys (etrailer) but I'm honestly not happy w/ the product (replacement step pad for Westin Platinum Series) - the clips went in easy enough and the pad installed quickly/easily but the step is too loose. The pad moves every time you step on it. It has 4 plastic posts that hold it to the rail but the front one is so loose in the clip it does not stay down flat (pops up). Now, it gives traction better than the slippery chrome rail but doubt it'll last long and I'll probably be back to no step again soon.
Always a good experiance dealing etrailer!
Good products timely shipping and personell experiance!

Great work like factory
After the oem clips failed on my 2005 Avalanche I thought for sure I would have to remove my step pads .One kept coming off when driving and I would have to turn around and get it out of the road. Then I found these (Chevrolet dealers no longer stock this part, must buy new step pads at $160.00 per side) I took a chance on these after seeing my style nerf step bars pictured on the etrailer site. WOW they arrived super fast and was the fix I needed. I am so pleased with how they worked. PERFECTLY. Wished I had ordered 4 more but I don't think I will ever have this issue again .Thanks for the great product and super service
