Video Transcript for Review of Weigh Safe Complete Lock Set - WS38ZR

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe complete lock set. Now I wanna go through each piece of this set that you are going to get and I'll begin with this dual pin assembly. This is going to fit your 180 hitch or Weigh Safe two ball mount. The locking pins are going to secure the ball mount platform to the shank giving you added security.

These aluminum pins and housing are gonna make this corrosion resistant. And then the lock is plated steel. So this is gonna hold up really well for you. Very durable. And if you notice, this does come with a dust cover to protect that keyway.

Next I wanna move to the coupler lock that we have right here. This is going to work with your one in seven eighths inch, two inch, and two in five 16 inch ball couplers. This is going to lock down your trailer coupler to prevent tow way theft, keeping others from hooking up to your trailer. This is gonna fit most ball style couplers. This is going to create a tight, secure fit around your coupler for 360 degrees of protection.

And the built-in ball here is going to fit inside the coupler, engaging it like a trailer ball does to block that opening. I just wanted to show you real quick how easy this is to use. I went ahead and unlocked this and if you notice that lock came out, I'm gonna turn that back to the lock position. Then that's going to allow me to remove this and then I'll just stick that ball into the coupler. And then this shank here, you just wanna make it as tight as possible.

And then back off the nearest set of notches here so that lock will engage. A feature that I really like about this coupler lock is, it does have this, the lock is push button. So I have the key removed. I turned it back to the lock position. So all I have to do is push it in and then that's going to secure this coupler lock. So very easy to use. That cover's gonna protect that keyway. The base here, the area, the section that's gonna go into the coupler, the ball there, this is made of aircraft grade aluminum. And our shackle here is hardened steel. So very, again, very durable. It's gonna be a great theft deterrent. And then we have this padlock that's going to be great for locking up your gear, your trailer doors, or your gates, a bunch of other items. So this is gonna be very flexible for you. It's made out of hardened steel and you don't need the key inserted to lock this back up. And if you notice, it has a chrome finish. And real briefly, I wanna throw up a diagram here on your screen showing you all of the measurements of this padlock just so you can be confident that this is going to work for the the particular application that you're looking for. And then going back to what we have on our table here, I want to show you our coupler latch lock. And this is going to work with your trigger latch style or your lever latch style and sleeve lock ball couplers. The coupler locks. This coupler lock rather is going to secure the trigger latch on your trailer's coupler to deter theft. As you know, your trailer can't be removed from your tow vehicle when locked onto the ball and would be thieves. can't secure your hitch trailer to their tow vehicle with the coupler locked either. So this is adjustable as you can see here, and this is going to fit most couplers. It does feature a tamper resistant design and this does have a tethered rubber cap to keep that key slot free from dust, dirt, debris, moisture, things like that. It's gonna have a nice tight fit. And this is constructed of stainless steel. So again, this is gonna hold up really well for you. And the overall length from end to end is about four and a half inches. The pin diameter is a quarter of an inch. And then we move to our final piece here. That's this hitch lock. This is going to fit most of your two inch, two and a half inch, and three inch receivers with a pinhole diameter of five eighths of an inch, letting you lock your fall mount or hitch accessory into your trailer hitch receiver. I wanted to point out, I unlocked this, obviously I'm gonna turn that lock back to the lock position and you don't need the key inside of the head of this lock to lock it back up. You just need to push it firmly and it locks back into place, which is great. We do have this, again, another rubber cap here that's tethered to protect that keyway. The overall length is about five and seven eighths inches. The inside pin length or also known as a span inside to inside is about three and seven 16th inches long. Stainless steel construction, very sturdy. And then you're going to get all of these keys, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 keys. And everything is key to like, so you're not gonna need different sets of keys for different locks. One key will operate everything here. So that's a great part of this set. And so you'll have these spares as well. So everything is keyed to like, and so this is Weigh Safe's complete lock set. And I think that's gonna wrap up our look today.
