Video Transcript for Review of Weigh Safe Locking Hitch Pin Adjustable Coupler Latch Lock Padlocks - WS28ZR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look together at this Weigh Safe Lock Set. Now this lock set includes everything that you see here on my table before me. You're going to get a locking hitch pin, an adjustable coupler latch lock, and two padlocks along with eight keys. And everything is gonna be keyed alike.

So let's go over each of these locks real quick just so you have a good idea of what you're gonna be getting. So first you're gonna have this locking hitch pin. Obviously this is going to be used to lock your ball mount or your hitch accessory to your trailer hitch receiver. This is going to fit most two inch, two and a half inch, and three inch receivers. And let me go ahead and go over some measurements with you.

Looking at the overall length, setting this up here, we're sitting right under six inches. I'm gonna call it at about five and seven eights inches on that overall length. And then looking at the span or the inside pin length, about three and seven 16ths inches inside to inside. This is made of stainless steel. And like I said, everything is key to like here.

So one key's gonna operate all of these locks. I'm just going to quickly remove this tethered rubber cap. Of course, that cap is gonna protect that keyway. So this is gonna be very easy to unlock and then lock back up into place. And so this is made of stainless steel, so this is gonna hold up really well for you.

Next we have our adjustable coupler latch lock. And this is going to allow you to secure the trigger latch on your trailer's coupler to help deter theft so your trailer can't be removed from your tow vehicle, and would be thieves can't secure your unhitched trailer to their tow vehicle. And this adjustable span is going to fit most of your couplers. So I'm just gonna go ahead and remove this real quick. Again, this is gonna be very easy to use. And so the overall length here, we're sitting right at about four and a half inches. If I measured from the inside of the head there, you can see it's a little under four and a half inches. So overall, it's closer to four and a half inches. Pin diameter is going to be a quarter of an inch. So you'll just adjust this to where it has the tightest fit on that trigger latch, and lock it up and you'll be good to go. So this is gonna work on your trigger latch style or lower latch style and sleeve lock ball couplers. Again, another cap there to protect that keyway. I do like those caps, it's a nice addition. They're tethered, so they're not gonna get easily misplaced or lost. You also, finally, are gonna receive these two hardened steel shackle padlocks. So these are also gonna do a great job of resisting tampering. These are designed to be pretty difficult to cut with bolt cutters. So let me put a ruler on this as well just so you can be confident this is gonna work for you. The overall height, when this is closed from bottom to top, pretty close to three inches. The shackle diameters a quarter of an inch. The body of the lock, the width of the body rather, we're sitting pretty close to one, and let's say right about one and seven eights inches wide, if you can see that pretty close to that. And then that inside dimension, it's probably hard for you to see. It's under an inch, probably like 15 16ths of an inch on the inside. Again, a tube tubular lock. So you're gonna get eight keys here. Everything is keyed alike, and that's great because you only need one key for all of these locks. You're not gonna have to worry about juggling with different keys or anything like that. I'm just getting this turned in the right way to lock it. There we go. So I think these are gonna hold up really well for you as well. So hardened steel. But this kit is going to include everything that you see here.
