Today we're going to review part number P-UMB95. This is the Vision X Heavy Duty Magnetic Mounting Base with a Vision X Off-Road Lights and Light Bars. This universal magnetic base will let you temporarily mount one Vision X light that weighs up to 2-1/2 pounds. You can bolt the light to the base using the existing hardware. You can use multiple bases like this to mount a light bar on. It is a corrosion resistant, chrome plated housing. It has a protective sleeve on it, as you can see right here, that peels off.

This protective sleeve will prevent the base from scratching your vehicle's paint. What you'll do is just leave it on there. It is made in the USA. It does have a magnet pull force of 95 pounds. The base diameter is 3 inches, the mounting depth is 3/4 of an inch.

It does have a 1 year warranty. I just want to give you an idea, this whole part is magnetic. I got a metal piece here. You could see that it does stick to it pretty good. As a matter of fact, you can pick the whole thing up just like that. Very strong magnetic pull to it.

Roof Light Bar Mount Recommendation for a 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500
The Heavy Duty Magnetic Mounting Base # UMB95 could potentially work for you, but it would require your light bar to be lighter than most. Each of these can hold a light setup that weighs under 2-1/2 lbs. So with two it would have the capacity for 5 lbs. Since this is a temporary solution for individual lights this wouldn't be an ideal solution though. A better solution for your light bar would be a mount specifically designed for the roof of your 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 like the part...

Will Opti-Brite LED Work Light Fit Vision X Heavy Duty Magnetic Mounting Base
I went out to the warehouse to make sure that the Opti-Brite LED Work Light - Flood Beam # TLL50FB will fit to the Vision X Heavy Duty Magnetic Mounting Base # UMB95. The magnetic base comes with a small bolt and nut that will hold the # TLL50FB light. I have attached a photo showing what they look like when fitted together. For a brighter floodlight, I recommend the Vision X Duralux Floodlight # DURA-440. This light offers significantly more output than the Opti-Brite LED Work Light....
