Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen, here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the cover for Vision X Optimus Round Prime Pod Lights. This is just a clear, flat lens that's going to go over your pod light and help to keep it even more protected from any kind of scratches or abrasions. If you're going through some rough terrain, you don't want to alter your light, so this is going to give it a little bit of extra protection. It's made of a shatterproof polycarbonate, so it's going to help protect that from any scratches. It's also going to have a grommet on the inside to keep out any dust and moisture, so you don't have to worry about dirt getting trapped in that cover and then fogging up your light and causing issues or lessen the visibility of your light.Just pops right on. There's no alterations made to your Vision X light.
I've got one here just to show you how it's going to work. So we've got two tabs on either side that are going to grip around the ring on our light. There is a little indicator to let you know which way it goes up. So it's "top" there. That just really helps to get the logo lined up correctly. One cool thing about that logo is that it does glow in the dark.
I'm kind of a geek for anything that glows in the dark, so that's always fun. Get it all the way popped on. It should make a nice satisfying click there. As you can see, those tabs are gripping around and it really doesn't want to come off too easily. So fits very snugly on there and it looks like it's meant to be there, so it's not going to really change the look of your light once it's on.I can't even really turn it. So that's why that "top" indicator is pretty important.
You want to get that lined up before you pop it on. Right now, mine is ever so slightly crooked and it would drive me nuts if it was actually on my car. But just to show you what it actually looks like when it's installed. Now, this is just a clear lens. It's not going to change the beam. It's not going to change the spread of that light.
It's not going to alter the color. But there are different options available that will let you do that.We have ones that are also clear and change it into a flood style. This is sold separately also here at etrailer.com. Or we also have ones that change the color, but not the beam. And all kinds of variations in between, so lots of options.Get the most out of your Vision X light. Also protect that lens from any kind of damage, especially when you're going out on the road. You don't know what's going to happen, any rocks flying up, so it's definitely going to protect that light. To remove this. It does fit really snugly, so I have to kind of grab it with my thumb and really pry out on the one side. If you have better hand strength than I do, you might not have as much trouble. But that's really all there is to it.As far as measurements, it's three and three quarters of an inch in diameter. So it'll work with three and three quarter inch Vision X lights. The tabs stick down about an inch, just barely over an inch. The rest of the housing goes down about three quarters of an inch. That's going to do it for our look at the cover for Vision X Optimus Round Prime Pod Lights.
