Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra Happy Hook Anchor Kit for RV Awnings. It's part number A30-0200. Gain some peace of mind when using your RV's awning with the Valterra Happy Hooks. They provide an additional anchor point to your RV's awning on a windy day, and they will stand light to moderate wind, and the spiral stakes anchor to the ground. They simply attach to your RV's awning's utility or accessory track. The ropes are a bright white for better visibility and safety at the campsite.
The hardware is constructed out of a durable zinc plated steel so it's going to resist rust and corrosion. Now I'll show you how to get it set up. You're going to need to be able to access your awning's accessory channel. Most awnings have two channels. We're going to be using the one on the inside. Now we can grab our arched bracket.
The tab end here is going to sit within the channel and the arched portion is going to sit on top of the awning roller just like this. Before we put it in place, we want to grab our rope and tie a knot on top. We'll grab one end of our rope. We're going to come up through the bottom portion of the bracket and we're going to tie a large knot. We need to be sure it doesn't come undone.
Then we can just set our bracket in place. Now we're going to follow our rope straight down and put in our spiral stake. Then we'll just give it a good firm push. We'll turn it clockwise until the spiral is all the way into the ground. Then we'll grab our other bracket. We'll go down through the center hole and then out the next closest hole.
We'll pull down some slack. We'll take that portion of the rope. We'll go through our spiral stake and then out through the furthest hole. We'll choke up on the rope. Now it doesn't have to be extremely tight. Remember we're not tying down our awning, we're just preventing the wind from lifting it. I'm going to push down slightly on my bracket just to help tighten things up and then I'll tie my knot here, just like that. That's going to complete our look at the Valterra Happy Hook Anchor Kit for RV Awnings, part number A30-0200. .

It took awhile to receive the items but I am happy with the order and will probably use etrailer.com in the future.
