Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra hose fixer. This unit can be used to replace a damaged male end on a half inch or a five eighth inch hose. All you have to do is cut the hose, so you want to remove the hold fitting, so cut the old fitting off. Go ahead and place this piece over the actual hose. Place this piece right here, this fitting, into the hose, and then bring this collar up over it. Then all you have to do is install the screws and simply tighten those down. We're just going to use a Phillips-head.
It also has the cut through, so you could use a flat-head screwdriver as well. You want to get these installed, you want to get them tightened down. That's going to secure the collar around the hose, making sure that the fitting does not come out. Then you're going to have your new male end. Again, this is a male hose thread, and the unit's made from a durable plastic construction. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra hose fixer..
