Video Transcript for Titan Trailer Brakes T4864000 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the Titan hydraulic brake lines and fittings for triple axle torsion axle trailers. These are fittings and tubing kit, which is designed for use on triple torsion axle applications. This kit will provide all the lines and fittings that are needed to run your brake fluid from you actuator to your brakes. It includes everything laid out here on the table. I'm going to go through all the pieces. We'll start with, it comes with three of the 66 inch long steel lines, two of the 30 inch long steel lines, one 19 foot long steel line, that's a quarter inch diameter, three of the 17 inch long steel lines and then two of the small 4 1/2 inch long steel lines. On the flexible hoses, we've got one 12 27/32 long flexible hose, and then we got six of the 18 25/32 long flexible hoses, seven hose brackets, seven hose clips, and we also have five of the T's with the brackets, 15 line retaining plastic clips, and then two of the adaptor fittings, which will adapt a 1/4 inch diameter line to a 3/16 diameter line. This kit is designed to work with disc brakes and drum brake applications and it is designed for use on trailers with three torsion axles. But that should do it for the review on the Titan hydraulic brake lines and fittings for the triple axle torsion axle trailers.

Do you have a question about this Accessories and Part?

  • Recommendation for Routing Triple Axle Brake Line Kit
  • The easiest solution I may have for you would be to move your actuator to the center of your trailer and then use a triple axle brake line kit like the # T4864000 and route everything like the picture I attached. Otherwise it might be easier to route the main steel cable of the line kit (letter C in the diagram) to just the side of the trailer that the actuator is located at.

  • Recommended Parts Needed To Rebuild Tri-Axle Trailer With EOH Brakes
  • We have many of the components that will work for you but we do not carry axles that would be big enough to handle the heavy load you said your boat and trailer weigh. I recommend finding a dealer locally to get the right axle for your trailer and boat. When they build the axles for you they should also install brake mounting flanges and spindles to match the other items recommended below. Since you mentioned 8,000 lb axles, I will use that figure for my recommendations for the other...

  • Hydraulic Brake Line kit with 1/4 Inch Diameter Steel Brake Line
  • The steel brake lines in kit # 9579-2 are 3/16. Kit # T4864000 does have 1/4 inch diameter steel line at a length of 19 feet. It doesn't sound like that will be quite long enough. But since this kit is for a triple axle trailer the additional lines should provide the extra length needed. In the event that it isn't enough length your local auto parts store should have various lengths of steel brake line available.

  • Single Axle Brake Line Kit Needed for Triple Axle Trailer to Make a Triple Axle Disc Brake Kit
  • You wouldn't need a triple axle brake line kit, # T4864000, because the Titan Disc Brake Kit # T4843700 already comes with 2/3 of what you need. So you would need a single axle kit # DM5424 or # DM5425. There are adapter fittings in triple axle kit # T4864000 that are 1/4 to 3/8 inch but not in the Titan disc brake kit # T4843700 and not in either of the single axle line kits listed above.

  • Parts Needed to Convert the Titan Disc Brake Kit # T4843700 for a Triple Axle Trailer
  • It is possible to get the same exact equipment included with the Titan Disc Brake Kit # T4843700 except for a triple axle setup. We pieced this kit together from other parts for our site. The kits include the following with the associated quantities: Titan BrakeRite II Kit - # T4835700 (1) Titan Disc Brake Assembly - # T10HREKITBB (4) Titan Hydraulic Brake Line Kit - # T4830000 (1) Gel Cell Breakaway Kit - # T4822100 (1) To adapt it to a triple axle setup you will simply need to...

  • What Type Hardware to Install New Hydraulic Brake Lines on Aluminum Triple Axle Boat Trailer
  • Thank you for providing a photo of your 30-foot Grady White salt water fishing boat. We're all jealous. Your concern has to do with the potential for galvanic corrosion between different metals, those metals being the aluminum frame of your trailer and the metal hardware you'll choose to install your new hydraulic brake lines. The presence of an electrolyte (salt in this case) and an electrical conducting path between the metals BOTH are essential for galvanic corrosion to occur. If...
