Video Transcript for Titan Trailer Brakes T4830000 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the Titan hydraulic brake lines and fittings for tandem axle, torsion axle trailers. This part will provide lines and fittings that are needed to run brake fluid from your actuator to your brakes. This is designed for use on trailers with two torsion axles. It will work with disc brake and drum brake applications. It comes with all these parts here on the table. I want to go over them one by one. It comes with one of the 12, 20, and 27/32 long flexible hose, comes with four 18 and 25/32 flexible hoses.

It comes with one 19 foot long steel line. It comes with two 66 inch long steel lines, one 30 inch steel line, two 17 inch steel lines, and then one small four 1/2 inch steel line. Also comes with the five hose brackets, the five hose clips, three of the Ts with the brackets attached, and then over here is some plastic, 12 of the line retaining clips. This part, if you intend to run the brake lines along the axles of your trailer to install disc brakes as is often done with a lot of boat trailers, you will need two additional hoses, part number T0776500 we sell separately, and two extra hose clips 20776400, we sell separately, along with the brackets which are T0776300, to complete the installation. That should do it for the review on the Titan hydraulic brake lines and fittings for tandem axle, torsion axle trailers.

No issues with installation. Just be aware of where tubing is routed to avoid chafing and other damage, Take up excess by making smooth loops and secure all with zip ties and/or J-clamps. 417041

My neighbour and I installed the Kodiak disc brakes with Titan actuator and Takonsha controller on our 33'-0 5th wheel last August. After dialing the controller in we took the rig to Yuma from B.C. , Canada. Stopping power is amazing compared to the old electric drum system. Performed flawlessly. I highly recommend them. 270520

The package took a little longer to get as it had to be ordered in. Once received, the box looked like an accordion but the contents were fine. Everything I need, except the bolts, are here. Looks like an excellent product. I'd recommend it to anyone. 193096

My brake line replacement kit and coupler worked perfectly. The brake shoes I ordered didn't come in the 3-5 days as promised, complicated my work and without locally sourced parts would have kept me home. 137361

The service was great at etrailer. I was very impressed with the amount of knowledge they had and were able to help me turn an idle axle into one with brakes. I spoke with them on the phone and they treated me very well, were patient, and worked with me to ensure that I got what I needed. I can't say enough about how satisfied I was with the ladies I spoke with. They sent me exactly what I needed to do the job and it was shipped fast! Thanks a bunch. I am highly likely to come to their website or call for all of my trailer needs. 48069

Do you have a question about this Accessories and Part?

  • Should Titan Hydraulic Brake Lines and Fittings be Installed on Frame of 5th Wheel Trailer
  • Definitely install the Titan Hydraulic Brake Lines and Fittings for Tandem-Axle, Torsion-Axle Trailers # T4830000 on the frame of your 2010 Forest River Cedar Creek Silverback. For just a utility trailer the lines would be installed on the frame so you don't have to worry about anything other than normal wear and tear. This kit will work great with the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR712D you have looked at as well as the HydraStar # HBA16 electric-over-hydraulic (EOH) actuator. I have...

  • Differences Between Kodiak and Titan Disc Brake Kits
  • Both of these manufacturers make excellent products and both products have received excellent customer reviews. The main difference is that the Titan Disc Brake Kit and BrakeRite II SD Electric-Hydraulic Actuator, # T4843700, which you referenced, comes with an actuator. The Kodiak kit # K2HR35D does not have a brake kit with actuator available. For a comparable kit, you will need the following: Kodiak Disc Brake Kit, # K2HR35D - Qty 2 Titan BrakeRite II Electric-Hydraulic Actuator...

  • I do have a way for you to get the Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator # T4747220 with the rest of the items included in the Kit # T4843200 that you referenced, but unfortunately we do not have a way just to swap out the actuators. Along with the actuator # T4747220 that you asked about you will just need the following kits in the following quantities: Titan Disc Brake End Kit - # T10HREKITBB (4) Titan Tandem Torsion Axle Tubing Kit - # T4830000 (1)

  • Recommend Disc Brake Kit For 5,200 lb Tandem Axle Trailer
  • I do have all the parts that you would need to install disc brakes on your 5,200 lb tandem axle trailer, but not as a kit. First, you will need the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit, part # K2R526S, which is a stainless slip-on disc brake kit. We also have a hub replacement disc brake kit, in a dacromet coating, part # K2HR526D. To use part # KSHR526D, you would need to pull apart your hub and make sure you have the correct bearings, races and seals. You will also need to have a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt...

  • Will the Titan Disc Brake Kit # T4843200 Work on a Trailer With Dual Axles at 3700 lbs Each
  • The Titan Disc Brake Kit and Leverlock Actuator, # T4843200, can be used on a trailer with dual axles rated at 3,700 lbs each, however, if the trailer is loaded beyond the capacity of the brakes, then they will not be as effective as they would be within capacity. Keep in mind that this kit is designed for 14 or 15 inch wheels with a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. I would also recommend checking your wheel bearing and seal part numbers and make sure they match the bearings and seals...

  • Parts Needed to Install the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit part # K2HR79E
  • All of the parts you mentioned will complete a disc brake kit for a trailer, but you will need to know for certain if your current hubs have the same bearings that the # K2HR712D would take. You will need to pull the bearings of your current hubs to get the numbers that are stamped on them. If it's the same as what comes with the kit you would be good. They will need to be # 25580 and # 14125A. Most likely this would be the case since Heartland uses Dexter axles and a Dexter 7K axle uses...

  • Is the Titan Disc Brake Kit # T4843400 Good For a Salt Water Boat Trailer
  • In the Titan disc brake kit, # T4843400, the hubs and calipers are silver cad plated, the actuator is zinc-coated, and the lines are all steel. This is not an ideal set up for a salt water application. The best option would be to go with stainless steel parts. You could start with Kodiak disc brakes, # K2R35S. For 2 axles you would need 2 sets. They fit 14 inch and larger wheels and will fit a hub with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. The rotors are the over the hub style. The actuator...

  • Does Kodiak Offer a Disc Brake Kit with Actuator Like the Titan Brake Kit # T4843700
  • I can put together a brake kit for you that will be comparable to the Titan Disc Brake Kit and BrakeRite II SD Electric-Hydraulic Actuator, # T4843700. Kodiak does not have a brake kit with actuator available. This is most likely because they do not manufacture electric over hydraulic brake actuators. This axle is 89" long with a weight capacity of 3,500 lbs. which is the same as the # 35545E-ST-EZ-89 Dexter Axle you were looking at. For your Hydraulic Trailer Brake Assemblies you will want...

  • For a 7,000 pound Dexter Never Lube axle with 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern and 9/16 inch wheel studs you will not be able to go with disc brakes on the existing axle. The Problem you will run into is that the center of the hub on your existing brake drum hubs will not work with the slip over disc. Part # T0776500 is 18-25/32 inches long. Some we have are shorter and some longer. We have a kit that has numerous parts, # T4830000. It comes with 4 lengths of the 18-25/32 inch brake line.
