I got the extension so I can carry 4 bikes with easy loading and bike are stable and don’t bang into each other. Now I don’t have to use 2 racks or a ladder to put bikes on the top of my car. I also don’t have to “pad” my bike to keep it from hitting the next bike on the hanging rack
Delivery was a bit on the slow side but understandable. Package arrived in good shape and in time for a road trip from VA to ME. The add on was easy to install but be advised it is quite heavy when added to the original rack. Hard for one person to take the full rack on and off. Getting bikes on and off is easy though. Rack performed well on the trip and allowed me to travel with 4 bikes as intended. Would recommend!

I've purchased several items from etrailer over the years and they have always arrive quickly and in good condition. The Thule 2 bike extension was lighter than I expected and attached to my existing rack without any problems. It took a little while to adjust all four rails so that the bikes do not interfere with each other but once that was done everything works well.
As always with etrailer, the product was delivered promptly and performed as it should. The customer service experience is always good and they are very thorough during the ordering process. My representative Blake was professional and very helpful. I always know I will get the product in good shape and ready to assemble. I also know that if an issue does come up I can always call them and they are there to help.

Does exactly as expected, installation took a 15 mins. I added some tail lights on it, to make sure we see when we drive at night, I find a bit long.
