Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the tension rafter for the Thule Hideaway Awnings. It's for a quantity of one. Now, this rafter is designed to keep your RV awning tight. Keeps the best tension on the awning fabric for better wind resistance.
And this is compatible with the Thule hideaway awnings part number TH49008 and the TH490010. Both of those awnings, we do sell separately on our website.Basically, these poles are constructed of a durable anodized, aluminum, and a high-impact plastic on the ends. They're very easy to install. Basically what you'll do is these two go into one to make one rafter for you, and you can see it is a spring loaded design. So you actually, when you go to install these, you'll open your awning and then place this rafter into the awning and then slightly roll up the awning until the rafter is blocked.Now it does come with all these parts here.
Has three different mounting brackets for installation of the rafter poles to the main housing of your awning and the mounting hardware to install. It has a nice set of detailed instructions. Now this pole itself gives you an eight foot projection and you can see, as I mentioned, it's spring loaded and it has a nice brushed silver finish.But that should do it for the review on the tension rafter for the Thule Hideaway Awnings for a quantity of one.

Works as intended. I've had my awning open on several rainy days and this helps keep it from accumulating water.
