Adam: Hi, everybody! Adam with etrailer. Today, we're going to be just talking about some replacement parts for you guys' ladder racks. In particular, we're going to be looking at the Thule rack. So, we have the Xsporter here, but this is also going to work with your track TracRacs as well. And we're going to be taking a look at the replacement knob.It's exactly the same. Perfectly identical.
So, if you guys are just having troubles with your guys' knob, maybe the little sleeve on the inside starts slipping and you're not really getting it as tight as you want, or maybe you guys accidentally cross threaded it, or something like that. It's really easy, really simple. We have these replacement parts on our website, and it's just that easy to get it replaced, whether it just looks bad or it's not really functioning right. But as you can see, it is a perfect replacement. So, just know you have that option here at etrailer.If you guys do end up replacing your knob, and that's not necessarily solving your problem, it could be our little T-bolt down here.
And luckily, we do have a replacement for that as well on our website. So, just go ahead and check that out, and pick whatever replacement parts are going to be best for you guys, to get what you guys want.But to be honest, that's pretty much all there really is to know about this replacement knob for your Thule ladder racks.

Replaces the twist knob on a load stop that is designed for original Thule TracRac ladder rack crossbars. Knob allows you to secure the load stop to the crossbar.The thread didn't fit. I didn't even ask for a refund and even provided the correct size m8x1.25 in an email. I never received a reply. If you need this replacement part, take an existing one off match it at the hardware store and buy it there or order it based on your tracrac.
An incorrect part was sent but the folks at etrailer went out of their way to quickly rectify the situation and get me the correct part. I bought my current rack from them and of course went back for a replacement part. I will purchase from them in the future based upon customer service.
etrailer has a different knob in the package for this knob. They sent me a replacement which was exactly the same. They both have 1/4” threads, not 3/8 as advertised. Despite me sending multiple pictures and videos customer service insists that since the part number on the bag is correct, I have received the knob that I ordered. Told me to call Thule. This is not a Thule part etrailer has their own branding on it. Until they sell all the wrong size knobs or get interested enough to go try to screw a 3/8 bolt on to this they will be sending customers the wrong part. Good luck.

Thank you for leaving this review! I looked into this closer and we discovered we had similar knobs stored in the wrong spot and that is why the ones you received didnt fit. We have since double checked our stock and the correct three eighths threaded knobs are where they should be. I let our customer service team know about what happened and they will be in touch.
Nothing wrong with the knob, other than the description is incorrect. This knob is for the larger track bolt that only fit the under side of the rack. They do not fit the t-bolt that goes with the load stop.

I am wondering how old your TracRac is. We have found that this particular hand knob is designed specifically for newer style TracRac Ladder Rack Load stops. If you have an older load stop then you will also need the bolt, part # HD-80122.
These are not original knobs, which is not a big deal except they are not as deep as the original knobs. Meaning the bolt bottoms out in the cap before it is tight on the rack. my fix was it add a few washers to fill the gap.
First shipment got lost and they were very helpful in getting a replacement order to me. Quality product

The knob doen't fit the stock t-bolt that came on my 2007 tracrac ladder rack. Extremely disappointed.

I would like to find the knob that would work for you. This is meant to be used on the load stop that comes with the rack. Where is the T-bolt located? Is it the one that fits into the cross-bar channel?
etrailer is the only place I've been able to find replacement knobs. As an FYI to others even when tightly screwed knobs will eventually loosen. Check often.
I ordered the part on a Saturday afternoon. Shortly after placing the order, I realized, I ordered the wrong part. I sent them an e-mail about an hour later, explaining my mistake.
Sunday later morning, I received a call from them asking me questions to make sure they had the right part. Really was surprised to have someone call on a Sunday. Monday it shipped and Wednesday it arrived. It is exactly what I needed. Thanks for the great service and follow up/
I forgot to tighten the knobs on my tracrack from 2013 and they loosened and fell off. I was a little nervous that these weren’t going to work, but it was a perfect fit.

Great, a little locktite and it is still there!
Exactly what I needed and has worked great for over a year
I found that the threads in the plastic handle are too short for the bolt that tightens the arm, I had to add a thick rubber washer so it would shorten the length of the threads. It nice to have the handle in place.

Thank you for your review on the hand knob. This particular hand knob is designed specifically for newer style TracRac Ladder Rack Load stops. If you have an older load stop you will need T-bolt part # HD-80122.
Shipping was so slow that the mating part fell off before it arrived. Never received an order confirmation or shipping confirmation with tracking number. Had difficulty remembering who I had ordered from when the time came to check on the status of my order.
Like many vendors ET is using USPS to ship. Somehow this is never up to par and in the future I will insist on UPS or FedEx.
Very pleased that this knob fit, made the mistake of ordering the wrong type the first try but you had exactly what I needed

These guys are great. I tried getting these parts from the company who makes them and they were slow, expensive and not in stock. etrailer had them in stock and they are now on my truck. etrailer is now my go-to company for the parts I need.
Outstanding product; I took out and put on my TracRack for 2002 Tundra and it worked perfectly. Excellent price and arrived pretty quick with just the standard delivery. Thank you.
