Replacement Hand Knob for TracRac Ladder Rack Load Stops - Qty 1

etrailer is the only place I've been able to find replacement knobs. As an FYI to others even when tightly screwed knobs will eventually loosen. Check often.1670966

Nothing wrong with the knob, other than the description is incorrect. This knob is for the larger track bolt that only fit the under side of the rack. They do not fit the t-bolt that goes with the load stop.1691953

I am wondering how old your TracRac is. We have found that this particular hand knob is designed specifically for newer style TracRac Ladder Rack Load stops. If you have an older load stop then you will also need the bolt, part # HD-80122.

The knob doen't fit the stock t-bolt that came on my 2007 tracrac ladder rack. Extremely disappointed.1568697

I would like to find the knob that would work for you. This is meant to be used on the load stop that comes with the rack. Where is the T-bolt located? Is it the one that fits into the cross-bar channel?

I forgot to tighten the knobs on my tracrack from 2013 and they loosened and fell off. I was a little nervous that these weren’t going to work, but it was a perfect fit.1651658

etrailer has a different knob in the package for this knob. They sent me a replacement which was exactly the same. They both have 1/4” threads, not 3/8 as advertised. Despite me sending multiple pictures and videos customer service insists that since the part number on the bag is correct, I have received the knob that I ordered. Told me to call Thule. This is not a Thule part etrailer has their own branding on it. Until they sell all the wrong size knobs or get interested enough to go try to screw a 3/8 bolt on to this they will be sending customers the wrong part. Good luck.1697087

Perfect match

These are not original knobs, which is not a big deal except they are not as deep as the original knobs. Meaning the bolt bottoms out in the cap before it is tight on the rack. my fix was it add a few washers to fill the gap. 381502

They don't look like the picture. There is no silver rivet or screw in the side, but they work and I would rather not have that detail. I just wish they wouldn't vibrate off every couple of years. Lol.1590033

I found that the threads in the plastic handle are too short for the bolt that tightens the arm, I had to add a thick rubber washer so it would shorten the length of the threads. It nice to have the handle in place.1266546

It was great to see someone was offering these knobs a reasonable price. The materials were decent, brass inserts ... The design was a little off however. The inserts weren't quite deep enough so the knobs didn't lock the bracket on the top rail. I added a washer which fixed the problem. 383712

I was missing all the legs to the Tracrac I bought at an estate sale and was totally disappointed when I found out it was a very specialized piece. Went online to see if I could order them from the manufacturer, but was not able to find any on their parts lists for sale. I continued to look at option only to come up empty. Shipping was so slow that the mating part fell off before it arrived. Never received an order confirmation or shipping confirmation with tracking number. Had difficulty remembering who I had ordered from when the time came to check on the status of my order.

Like many vendors ET is using USPS to ship. Somehow this is never up to par and in the future I will insist on UPS or FedEx.261413

My Trac Rack system is at least 20 years old and needed new hand cranks, WAY cheaper than buying all new parts. It’s the way to go. 851306
