Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we can take a look at this replacement hitch arm assembly for the bike trailer conversion kit for the Thule child carriers. Now, this part here will replace a damaged or a missing hitch arm assembly from the Thule bike conversion kit for the Thule child carriers. Now, that conversion kit we do sell separately on our website. It's part number TH20100506, and that kit does include this hitch arm assembly.
Now, this hitch arm assembly will allow you to turn your Thule child carrier to a bike trailer, so that you can take your child along with you on your bike right. This is a lightweight aluminum hitch arm, that'll snap quickly into place. Basically, when you go to install it, this end right here will slip into the (indistinct) bracket on the front of the carrier, and it snaps into place. And just to show you what we're talking about, there's the bike, or the child carrier attached to the bike. And if you notice, this is the end that'll slip into that bracket on the front of the carrier, snaps into place, and then this backup tether is inserted through the loop on the carrier, and then clipped right onto the D-ring right here for extra security.
Now, the other end right here, this will attach to the rear wheel of your bike using the Thule easy hitch system that uses a hitch cup to allow you to insert the ball end right here of the hitch arm assembly to your bike, and then also secure with the locking pin in the safety strap. Same way, I'll pop up an insert there. You can see that easy hitch system installed on the rear wheel of your bike. This ball will go into that hitch cup. The pin will go in there, lock it into place, and same way you have this safety strap that'll hook around there and then hook onto the D-ring right here for extra security.
Now, this includes one replacement hitch arm assembly. But that's gonna do it for the review on the replacement hitch arm assembly for the bike trailer conversion kit for the Thule child carriers.

Exactly what we were looking for. I was happy to be able to order just this part instead of the entire bike conversion kit. We have two chariot strollers and already have the bike conversion kit and two Axle Mount ezHitch (one on each of two bikes). We want to now tow both chariots at the same time (one with each bike) so only needed this additional hitch arm assembly, rather than a second entire kit, so this was perfect.
I have two trailer arms considering their only meant for 100 lbs...
I put it together with a toolbox that has six wheels underneath it that will never pop in the boxes lockable.
It makes a great for running errands and I have no problem carrying 250 lb payload based on mathematics only has about 80 lb of tongue weight.
But most people usually don't want to exceed 250 lb or around 200 lb especially going up a hill.
Therefore I usually use it for running errands at Home Depot or groceries and keep it usually around 200 lb and less.
Pretty close to the factory model replacement. Missing a security pin that you insert into the trailer that the original unit had.

This part was exactly what we needed! It had to be modified only because we used it on an old Trek Rocket bicycle trailer but it works perfectly and e.trailer is an excellent company to do business with. Shipping was unbelievably fast and communication is very good as far as them letting you know when the order is received and when it was shipped. I will certainly do business with the company in the future! I never heard of this company before looking for this odd part for our trailer but I’m glad I stumbled accross them and will certainly be giving reference to anyone looking for this kind of business.

Product works for my Chariot CX. However, there should be a machined hole and pin for the part that secures it to the chariot.
