Install your electric brake controller quickly and easily with this custom wiring adapter. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into the built-in harness beneath your vehicle's dash.
Features:
This adapter plugs into the 4-pin connector on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash. Pull back the carpet behind the brake pedal to expose the connector.
To install your electric brake controller you need to connect the wiring of the controller to your vehicle. Certain manufacturers offer pre-wired options, typically known as tow packages, wherein these wires are run for you from the dash to the trailer connector on the back of your vehicle. Often, a brake controller wiring harness is included with your tow package. This harness plugs into a port beneath your dash and connects to the four wires of the brake controller. If, however, you have a brake controller with a plug in place of the four loose wires, you can use the Tekonsha adapter.
This adapter requires no hardwiring. It is designed to plug directly into your electric brake controller for the simplest installation possible. Because there are no wires to connect, installation is not permanent. You can unplug and remove your brake controller at any time and securely stow it away.

Fit perfect in my 2018 MB GLS AMG edition. Simple plug and play with the electronic brake controller. Worked perfect after I hooked it up. Just used some zip ties to keep all wires nice and organized.
Clint - 07/15/2021I'm going to skip the reviews for Item #3066-P Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers and for Item #331-TPH-017 Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter for Tekonsha Brake Controller Harness. They just work to get the signals from A to B. Installing this in my Merc ML-250 Bluetec was straight forward, but I thought quite a bit about the knob placement. Finally ended up mounting this next to the ashtray, opposite of the cigarette lighter. This location won't work for those with heated/cooled cupholders as this is the location used for that controller. This location works well for mounting as there is clearance below and the knob is low-profile enough that the sliding door can still cover the area. Just need to be careful with wire routing. Route towards the back of the car, then reverse course up to the front, such that the slider can retract into this space. The main body of the unit is mounted under the dashboard above the brake pedal, completely hidden from view and out of the way of feet and knees.
Works great as designed, easy install on 2018 MB 350 with factory tow. Cable was long enough to connect under dash by the brake pedal and snake around under center dash.
Very simple to install. Have not hooked to trailer yet.
etrailer came through again. I think they really do their homework on the products they offer as I have used them many times now. I do still suggest improving their listings (every company) as the whole internet sales thing is lacking everywhere. It should be better than shopping in person. More info and often it would help to show the product in use. imho
Wow! What an easy install. Plug this in. Plug in the brake controller. Done. The instructions even told me where to look for the plug on the car side for my model vehicle.

Have not tried out controller with RV yet, but are planning to on 3/29/20-camping trip. I was first told by local installer that my ONLY controller option was the Bluetooth set up. Exact fit and function for true plug-and-play function. The quality is good and the length is more than long enough to reach from the factory connection behind the GLE350 brake pedal over to where I mounted the electric brake controller. The vehicle connection end even matches the green color to help color-code the connections. This is the only source for this that I found at the time I purchased it and so long as the brake controller has a standard connection it should work with any brand.
I like this brake controller. It is easy to set up and adjust. Only gripe is I can't get it exactly set so that the trailer doesn't jerk when braking at low speeds.

Bought Draw-Tite Activator IV for a 2018 Mercedes GLS. Installed with Tekonsha 3066-P harness. The Tekonsha harness plugged into the Mercedes pre-wired harness easily. The Draw-Tite was easy to install and works perfectly.
Easy to install. Connected right to the OEM plug and to the plug on the brake controller. Works as advertised.
Easy set up. Works great. Etrailer is awesome to deal with.
