Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with Etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the Taylor Made bow sockets. These are going to allow you to mount bows in your boat to ensure that your boat cover stays taut. These sockets can be mounted on any rail system or anywhere on your deck wall. They are die-cast, so they're going to have a nice sturdy construction with a chrome plating, so they're also going to look very nice.
You're going to get two of these in the kit, one for each side of your bow. Now, the packaging does say that these accept any bow. I think, obviously, you are going to be limited by their size. Your internal opening there, the width is right about two and one 16th of an inch. Your internal height is about 15 32nds. As far as your thickness, I'd call it about three 32nds of an inch thick, you're die-cast material there.
Your outer height, we'll call it about 11 16ths. You're outer width is about two and a fourth. You are going to have a slight angle. You can see this top portion is longer than that bottom portion. The top portion is right about five eighths of an inch.
And the bottom portion is right about a half inch. Your holes are seven 32nds of an inch in diameter. And the mounting hardware is not included with the brackets. That's going to complete our look at the Taylor Made bow sockets..

I Have not tried them yet. They look like very good quality. I won't be near my boat until spring. I expect that they will be better than the ones I have used in the past.
