Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Taylor-Made boat cover vent.So this little guy is going to go through your cover and be a vent to get out any kind of water and moisture so that it doesn't all build up and get kind of moldy and mildewy on the inside. So it helps your boat to stay nice inside there. Its just made out of a durable polycarbonate construction, so it's going to be UV resistant and also pretty impact resistant as well. You'll need to either punch or cut a two-and-a-quarter-inch hole to let this sit down in there, and the packaging that comes with it does have a two-and-a-quarter-inch hole in there, so if you want to use that as a reference point you can.And then you'll put your pole to go under there and kind of push up on that cover to again make sure that your cover is going to be kind of tapering down and letting that vent be the high point. You can find polls here at etrailer.com to fit with this.As far as the overall measurements, the widest point of our vent is about four-and-a-quarter inches in diameter.
Whenever it's completely compact, it's about two-and-three-quarter inches deep. The portion that actually is going to go into our hard cover is about two inches right on, so that's going from the bottom edge here to the end of those threads. So as you can see, we'll have the holes going throughout there, it has these kind of teeth as well, so it's going to grip onto the cover, and whenever we put this bottom piece on there, those are going to grip together and hold it in place once they mesh together. So that's what holds it in place and then the center portion can match up with that or adjust the height of that vent. So this top one goes in and out, and then this one locks in with it.
I have the little wing nut to tighten everything up. You want to have this side going towards there.So pretty easy install, but all in all, it should help your cover to stay nice and dry on the inside. That's going to do it for our look at the Taylor-Made boat vent..

Easy to install the new one. The old one became brittle from the long summer day light here in Alaska. Thanks etrailer for having great replacement products. Sincerely Jim
