What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're checking out the replacement horizontal bar for the Swagman Bike Racks E-SPEC and CURRENT. So it's gonna be replacing that arm here. If you we're to back into something and damage it, you're not gonna have to get a whole new bike rack. You just install this, put your bike on there and be good to go. Let's check it out.
You're gonna have two arms that go together. It slides into the other arm. You line up those holes to attach it. We're gonna set it right here in place where the old one was. Now, you are gonna have to have the plate that goes on top, but they do give you new hardware to install it.
We're gonna set the plate on top, and then add our new hardware in. You're gonna get a bolt. Move it over there Bolt and nut to go on the bottom. So we have a lock washer that goes on first and then our nut underneath. And we're gonna do the same thing on both of these.
We're gonna do it hand tight, come back with tools and tighten it down further. And we're gonna come back with our ratchet and socket. I got a half inch socket on there, just tighten it down the rest of the way. Last up for the arms, sliding it, the cradle into place. Then we'll replace our screw that acts as a stop here at the bottom.
It really is that easy to get that arm installed. I like that you can get a separate one on your own, you don't have to buy a whole new assembly for the bike rack. You can just get this one part, replace it and it's good as new again. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and I hope this helped.
