Replacement Cradle with Anti-Sway Bracket for Sportrack Escape Bike Racks
Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer installation instructions and specs for complete information.
Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement cradle with anti-sway attachment for the SportRack escape hitch mounted bike racks. Now the SportRack escape is a very basic but very reliable bike rack that's out there. This is going to be for that anti-sway cradle, so this down portion would fit onto the tube of your bike and provide that anti-sway motion or basically it keeps your bikes from hitting each other or your vehicle. It keeps them from moving backwards and forwards. So this lines up to the down tube of your bike and helps to keep it a little bit more stable.
The portion of the top with this circle in the middle, that's actually what's going to slide over the arms of your SportRack escape, and then up at the top, that's where your strap would go and attach to the cross beam or the seat for your bike, and then these two straps would go with your anti sway cradle strap. Now the straps are sold separately. You can find those right here at etrailer.com if you need to pick up some replacements for those. This portion up here is a bit more flexible. It also has some space there for your brake cables and things like that. It's also going to protect the finish of your bike, so this is going to help you to keep that bike rack rolling out there on the road and prevent you from having to get a whole new bike rack if your SportRack escape is still chugging along.
This works with the SportRack part numbers A30403, A30404, and A30404TW200, so if you have one of those bike racks out there and you still want to keep it going, this is going to help you to keep that bike rack rolling. That's going to do it for our look at the replacement cradle with anti-sway attachment for the SportRack escape hitch mounted bike racks. Again, if you need any other replacement parts for those SportRack accessories, you can always check out etrailer.com.

I bought replacement rubber support cradles for a Slipstream/SportRack Escape Bike carrier. Two of the original cradles broke from heavy use. This is the type of item that is relatively obscure and difficult to obtain. Etrailer.com was one of the few, if only, web stores that stocked this item. They were reasonably priced and it just took a few days to order and get delivered. The replacement cradles were an exact match for the originals.
etrailer is the only place I found these replacements for my bike rack.
For some reason the tabs dry out and break off so they need to be replaced.
Fast shipping and reasonable price on the mount.

After a year the cradle is going strong...great product.
Awesome customer service. Our package was being delivered to where we were staying on vacation. The postal service never got it to us. They delivered it to a completely different post office despite the correct shipping address on the label. Called etrailer and explained this to them and the fact that we were home now. 3 days later the package arrived at our home. Parts are perfect. I will continue to order from them for our bicycle hitch replacement parts.
The product is exactly as advertised. I actually bought these cradles for my Slipstream Xport rack. While searching for replacements on the internet (to no avail), someone pointed me to these specific cradles and to etrailer.com. These cradles will fit any bike rack with a 1 ΒΌ inch tubular frame and they fit mine beautifully, using the same rubber hold-downs. Since replacement parts are not available for my Xport rack, if etrailer.com did not sell these, I would be in a world of hurt.
This is a replacement part for my 8yr plus SportsRack bike rack. The rubber has dried out, resulting in broken strap anchors. This is somewhat to be expected in the Colorado climate. But those posts are a bit of a weak point. The rack itself (with trailer tow hitch) has held up quite well, under full 4-bike loads. Yes, I would recommend the rack, as well as these replacement parts.
Needed new cradles for a XPort slipstream bike rack, had a hard time finding any. Started searching online found these on etrailer with a few reviews stating they purchased and tried them on the same rack. Figured would give them a try, and they work fine. Know where we can purchase more when the other ones break.
Product was as described. The support team quickly replied to my questions on this product. They were very knowledgeable.
We have replaced our old ones and fingers crossed they do not break as easily as the original sets did. We have learned and are not pulling them as tightly as we did when we first started using this bike rack.
The cradle on our bike rake broke: strap knob ripped. E-trailier has easy to order replacement parts that make finding and buying the part a cinch. This was the second time I had to get a replacement part. I wish all products were supported this well.
Product as advertised. The real test is how well they hold up in use. On the original cradles, the knobs which go in and out of the holes in the elastic strap can tear away from the base over time. We'll see if these hold up better.
Excellent service, quality product and very quick delivery. Great place to order rack parts!
Proper Replacement Part
Exact replacement for Sportrack Escape. The anchor knobs for the strap will crack with heavy use, so these make it good as new.
Exact fit.
Delivered as described, Thanks!
