Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Shocker Sway Control Drop Ball Mount Attachment for the Shocker Bumper Hitches. This has a two inch ball, and this sway control drop ball attachment with this two inch ball is going to adjust from 4 1/2 inches to 7 1/2 inches of drop, and I'm gonna give you a view here of the top of it, just to give you a better look at the sway control tabs. These sway control tabs have the 5/8 of an inch diameter holes that are going to accept your basic sway control arm balls and mini ball, which are sold separately. It works with the Shocker Hitch Air, XRC, XR, and Impact bumper mount products, the attachment pin hole diameter is 5/8 of an inch, and I do happen to have a Shocker XR for a two inch hitch receiver right here, and I just wanted to show you how easy this is to use and the ease of compatibility. So if you already have a Shocker Hitch and you wanted to use another attachment, you know how easy this is to swap the attachments out, especially with these large pins. And so, as you can see, it fits right into that channel, no problem.
Let me go ahead and secure this with my safety clips. And so, very easy to use, and it's gonna work right out of the box. Now, the ball shank length is 2 3/4 inches, and as you can see, the lock washer and the nut are included, and this is made in the USA. As you can see, just as easily as we put the attachment in, it is easily removed as well. The mount itself is shot blasted and powder coated to prevent rust, and the ball is zinc plated to prevent that rust and corrosion as well.
This does have a gross towing capacity of 10,000 pounds, but please do remember that a towing setup is always limited by its lowest rated component, whether that be your vehicle, your hitch, or another component. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..
